Annotation
Magtymguly's poems have been translated into many languages of the world in different years. Information about the poet's life and work is given a wide place in dictionaries and encyclopedias in Turkmen and foreign languages. Therefore, the publication index of publications in Turkmen and foreign languages dedicated to the literary heritage of the great poet, as well as the publication index of scientific articles made available to the public through press sites, is also reflected in this encyclopedia.

Аннотация
Стихи Махтумкули в разные годы были переведены на многие языки мира. Сведениям о жизни и творчестве поэта уделяется широкое место в словарях и энциклопедиях на туркменском и иностранных языках. Поэтому в данной энциклопедии отражен и указатель публикаций на туркменском и иностранных языках, посвященных литературному наследию великого поэта, а также указатель публикаций научных статей, доведенных до всеобщего сведения через сайты прессы.

Today, we are participating in the presentation ceremony of Magtymguly Pyragy's collection of poems in German language and the international scientific conference «Study of Magtymguly's poetry by European scholars» in accordance with the plan of events to be held to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Pyragy, the great thinker of the East (1724-1807). First of all, we would like to thank you very much for the high level organization of this international forum and the presentation ceremony, and we wish you great success in the work of this forum.
During the Revival of the new epoch of a stable state, extensive work is being carried out to study the life path and creativity of our Turkmen thinkers, and the literary heritage of our Turkmen thinkers.
The Turkmen people's life philosophy, reasonable traditions, dreams of a prosperous state with high spiritual and humanitarian values are reflected in the rich and versatile poetry of our famous compatriot. These good wishes have become true today. Magtymguly's humanitarian ideas formed the basis of the national policy of the independent, neutral country.
The International Organization of Turkish Culture (TURKSOY) declared 2024 as «the year of Magtymguly Pyragy, the great poet and thinker of the Turkish world», as well as his collection of manuscripts of the United
Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) «Remembrance of the World» program inclusion in the international list shows that the work of a well-known wordsmith is of universal importance.
In this regard, the rich and valuable literary heritage of Magtymguly Pyragy, which is part of the golden treasure of world literature, his secular views, the philosophical world of his poems, the great impact he had on Turkmen life in the 18th-19th centuries on a scientific basis, his creativity and the scientific and cultural life of Turkmen, including the entire East, are to be studied. In order to reveal the inseparable connection through modern digital technologies, draw the attention of the international scientific and literary community to the world of poetry, and celebrate the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great thinker at the international level, in 2024 the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great thinker and classical poet Magtymguly Pyragy will be celebrated in a highly organized manner. This is a symbol of the fact that not only the Turkmen people, but also other peoples of the world use his works, which are included in the cultural-spiritual treasure of the whole humanity, and are used in the world.
As we know, Magtymguly's poems have been translated into many languages of the world in different years. Information about the poet's life and work is given a wide place in dictionaries and encyclopedias in Turkmen and foreign languages. Therefore, the publication index of publications in Turkmen and foreign languages dedicated to the literary heritage of the great poet, as well as the publication index of scientific articles made available to the public through press sites, is also reflected in this encyclopedia.
In this regard, today Magtymguly Pyragy's poems are being paid a lot of attention in Western Europe. As an example, it can be mentioned that the oldest translation of Magtymguly's poems into Western language by Orientalist H. Wamberi (1832-1913) was published in 1879, and the first translation into English by Yusuf Azemu was published in 1995.
A German translation of 41 poems from the divan of the Hungarian orientalist H. Wamberi (1832-1913) was published in 1879 in the «Journal of the German Oriental Society» in Leipzig.
And also some of his poems were first translated into Spanish and then into German. His poems in Spanish were published by the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan in May 2014 on the occasion of the 290th anniversary of Magtymguly. References:
