DO YOU KNOW THAT...?
FEMINISM AND ECONOMICS
We live in an economic society where «Somewhere something is wrong». Explaining the role and significance of feminism in economics can be a new perspective on redefining familiar phenomena. No matter how much we try to avoid or artificially prolong the process, at some point it will be necessary to confront the fact that the differences between men and women are one of the key axes in the construction of economic models, which aim to maximize the economic potential of both sexes. The feminism economics is not just about women or for women. Why? Because the main motivation of feminism economics is to have a better functioning economic system. Therefore, all economists should be feminist economists.
Key words: feminism, unpaid work and care, gender discrimination, «Economic Man»
