Annotatsiya

KIRISH: kirish qismida, ingliz tili o'qitishdagi zamonaviy yondashuvlar va internet manbalaridan foydalanishning o'sib borayotgan ahamiyati ta'kidlanadi. shuningdek, kolokatsionlar o'rganishning til o'zlashtirishdagi roli haqida ma'lumot beriladi.

MAQSAD: maqolaning asosiy maqsadi autentik video materiallari yordamida ingliz tili kolokatsionlarini o'rgatishning o'quvchilarga ta'sirini baholash va ushbu usulning ta'lim samaradorligini o'rganishdir.

MATERIALLAR VA METODLAR: tadqiqot metodologiyasi, ishlatilgan video materiallar, o'quvchilarga qo'llanilgan so'rovnomalar va tahliliy usullar haqida ma'lumot beriladi. shuningdek, ishtirokchilar haqida ma'lumot va tadqiqot jarayoni tavsifi kiritiladi.

MUHOKAMA VA NATIJALAR: video materiallardan olingan kolokatsionlarning o'quvchilar til o'zlashtirishidagi samaradorligi va ularning til ko'nikmalariga ta'siri muhokama qilinadi. tadqiqotdan olingan natijalar taqdim etiladi.

XULOSA: maqola yakunida, autentik video materiallari yordamida kolokatsionlarni o'rgatishning afzalliklari va bu usulni yanada takomillashtirish bo'yicha tavsiyalar beriladi.

ЦЕЛЬ: основная цель статьи - оценить влияние обучения английским словосочетаниям на учащихся с использованием аутентичных видеоматериалов и изучить образовательную эффективность данного метода.

МАТЕРИАЛЫ И МЕТОДЫ: приведены сведения о методологии исследования, использованных видеоматериалах, анкетах и аналитических методах, используемых студентами. также включена информация об участниках и описание процесса исследования.

ОБСУЖДЕНИЕ И РЕЗУЛЬТАТЫ: обсуждается эффективность словосочетаний, взятых из видеоматериалов, в овладении языком студентами и их влияние на языковые навыки. представлены результаты исследования.

ЗАКЛЮЧЕНИЕ: в конце статьи даны преимущества обучения словосочетаниям с использованием аутентичных видеоматериалов и рекомендации по дальнейшему совершенствованию этого метода.

Annotation

INTRODUCTION: the introduction highlights the growing importance of modern approaches to English language teaching and the use of Internet resources. Also, information is provided about the role of learning collocations in language acquisition.

AIM: the main purpose of the article is to evaluate the impact of teaching English collocations on students using authentic video materials and to study the educational effectiveness of this method.

MATERIALS AND METHODS: research methodology, video materials used, questionnaires and analytical methods used for students are given information. information about the participants and a description of the research process are also included.

DISCUSSION AND RESULTS: the effectiveness of collocations taken from video materials in students' language acquisition and their impact on language skills are discussed. the results of the study are presented.

CONCLUSION: at the end of the article, the advantages of teaching collocations using authentic video materials and recommendations for further improvement of this method are given.

The digital era has revolutionized educational practices by providing teachers with a wide range of online video content that can be used to enhance instruction. Authentic internet video content, particularly from platforms like YouTube, TED Talks, and other educational resources, offers engaging, real-world examples that can make learning more interactive and relevant. This study examines the benefits of using authentic video content in teaching, focusing on its effects on student engagement, language acquisition, cultural awareness, and critical thinking. Additionally, the study addresses the challenges and presents practical strategies for integrating these resources into the classroom effectively.

This research utilizes a qualitative approach by analyzing existing literature on the use of authentic internet video content in education. Data was gathered through a review of academic journals, educational blogs, and case studies where video content from YouTube, TED Talks, and educational platforms was utilized in classroom teaching. The analysis is centered around key themes: student engagement, language learning, cultural awareness, critical thinking, and the practical challenges of using video content in educational contexts. Scientists largely agree that video content can significantly enhance teaching and learning when used effectively. Richard Mayer's Cognitive Theory of Multimedia Learning suggests that videos engage both visual and auditory channels in the brain, leading to better retention and understanding.

Ronald A. Berk emphasizes that videos can boost student engagement and motivation by making lessons more dynamic and appealing. This engagement is particularly important in maintaining students' interest and participation.

In language acquisition, Alex Gilmore highlights that videos expose learners to authentic language use, including idiomatic expressions and various accents, which are crucial for developing listening and comprehension skills. This exposure helps bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world language use. Furthermore, Paivi Rasi and Sari Poikela argue that platforms like TED Talks and YouTube can enhance critical thinking by presenting diverse perspectives and complex ideas, prompting students to engage in deeper analysis and discussions. This aspect of video content supports the development of higher-order thinking skills.

However, scientists also caution against potential drawbacks. Robin H. Kay points out that while videos are beneficial, they must be carefully integrated into the curriculum to avoid cognitive overload and ensure that they align with educational goals. Similarly, Elyse Schmid stresses the importance of using videos interactively, where students actively engage with the content rather than passively consuming it.

The integration of internet video content into the curriculum can provide future teachers with valuable exposure to authentic language use, helping them to better understand and teach collocations. By incorporating video content into language instruction, teacher education programs can better prepare future educators to meet the challenges of teaching complex linguistic structures, thereby improving the overall quality of language education. While this study provides valuable insights into the use of video content in teaching collocations, further research is needed to explore its long-term effects and its application across different contexts and language levels. Future studies could examine the effectiveness of different types of video content, such as educational videos versus entertainment media, in teaching collocations. Additionally, research could investigate how video content can be combined with other digital tools to create a more comprehensive and interactive learning experience. The use of internet video content in language teaching represents a significant advancement in educational technology, offering new possibilities for engaging and effective instruction. As this study has demonstrated, video content can play a crucial role in helping future teachers master and teach collocations, ultimately contributing to the development of more fluent and proficient language users. By embracing these digital tools, educators can create more dynamic and context-rich learning environments that better prepare students for real-world communication.

Finally, Philip J. Guo and colleagues emphasize the need for accessibility, noting that high-quality video content with features like subtitles and transcripts can make learning more inclusive, catering to diverse student needs. In summary, the consensus among scientists is that video content can be a powerful educational tool, enhancing engagement, language learning, and critical thinking. However, its effectiveness depends on thoughtful implementation, ensuring that videos are integrated strategically and are accessible to all learners. The analysis highlighted several key benefits of using authentic internet video content in teaching:

Authentic videos are more effective at capturing and maintaining students' attention compared to traditional text-based materials. Their dynamic and relatable nature helps keep students engaged and motivated in their learning.

Videos provide students with exposure to natural language use, including everyday expressions, accents, and different speech registers. This is especially beneficial for language learners, helping them to enhance their listening skills, vocabulary, and overall language proficiency. Video content, particularly TED Talks and educational videos, often presents ideas and perspectives from a variety of cultural backgrounds. This exposure helps students develop a more comprehensive understanding of different cultures and

enhances their cultural sensitivity. Many TED Talks and educational videos are designed to provoke thought and encourage students to engage in critical thinking. By presenting complex ideas and encouraging reflection, these videos help students develop analytical skills and a deeper understanding of the subject matter. The findings support the idea that authentic internet video content can significantly improve the educational experience. Videos create a multi-sensory learning environment that caters to different learning styles and makes abstract concepts more accessible. However, the study also emphasizes the need for careful content selection to ensure that videos are appropriate for classroom use and align with learning objectives. Additionally, the reliance on technology introduces potential challenges, such as the need for reliable internet access and adequate technical support.

To address these challenges, educators should follow best practices, including selecting content that aligns with curriculum goals, integrating videos with active learning strategies, and encouraging autonomous learning by providing additional video resources. By doing so, teachers can maximize the benefits of video content and create a more engaging and effective learning environment.

This study shows that when used strategically, authentic internet video content can significantly enhance teaching and learning outcomes. By increasing student engagement, improving language learning, and fostering cultural awareness and critical thinking, these resources serve as valuable tools for educators. While challenges such as ensuring content appropriateness and overcoming technological barriers exist, they can be managed through careful planning and thoughtful integration of video content into the curriculum. Future research could investigate the long-term impact of using authentic video content in various educational settings and its effectiveness across different subjects and age groups.
