THE GREAT TURKMEN POET MAGTYMGULY PYRAGY IS A WORLD PERSONALITY
Аннотация: Magtymguly's poems, translated into the languages of different nations, leave an indelible mark on the hearts ofpeople living in all corners of the world. Monuments were erected in Russia, Turkey, Iran, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and other countries in honor of the great classical poet of Turkmen.

As it is known, in 2024, the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Pyragy, the great poet and thinker of the East, the founder of Turkmen classical literature, will be celebrated internationally. His creative heritage has become an integral part of the treasure of world culture as a priceless national treasure. Despite the passage of centuries, the works created by the outstanding son of the Turkmen people have not lost their importance and are popular even far from our country. Because in them, universal values that will never lose their importance, such as love for the Motherland, humanitarianism, peace-loving, creativity, and brotherhood, are clearly expressed.
Magtymguly's poems, translated into the languages of different nations, leave an indelible mark on the hearts of people living in all corners of the world. Monuments were erected in Russia, Turkey, Iran, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and other countries in honor of the great classical poet of Turkmen.
The creativity of the great poet and philosopher is widely and deeply studied in the country and abroad on a scientific basis. Magtymguly Pyragy's lyrics, resounding with a new enthusiasm and a high spirit, has become a reminder of the noble principles of our people, such as friendship with the peoples of the world, development of neighborly relations, and strengthening of international humanitarian cooperation.
Based on this, it should be noted that in December of last year, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed the relevant Resolution on the solemn celebration of the famous day and approved the Schedule of the events to be held. In this regard, a relevant organizational group was formed. Currently, thematic meetings, forums, presentations, and other creative events dedicated to Magtymguly Pyragy are held in the country and abroad.
The life philosophy of the Turkmen people, reasonable traditions, high spiritual and humanitarian values, dreams of a strong and prosperous state are reflected in the rich and versatile poetry of our famous countryman. These good wishes have come true today. Magtymguly's humanitarian ideas formed the basis of the national policy of the independent, neutral country.
The International Organization of Turkish Culture (TURKSOY) declared 2024 as "the year of Magtymguly Pyragy, the great poet and thinker of the Turkish world", as well as his collection of manuscripts of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) "Truth of the World" program. inclusion in the international list shows that the work of a well-known wordsmith is of universal importance. Established in 1992, this program aims to preserve the world's most important written monuments and make them accessible to the general public.
The collection of poems of the great Turkmen poet Magtymguly Pyragy includes his manuscripts preserved in the territory of the country in the 18th-19th centuries. These rare examples of the heritage that have reached our days are not only
the value of the Turkmen people, but also of the literature of all Turkic peoples, Central Asia, and Europe. This collection consists of Magtymguly's manuscripts and more than 80 divans written in the language of his close relatives, companions, poets, scientists, and folk saints. Currently, there are also copies of manuscripts stored in the treasury of Tashkent, St. Petersburg, London, Budapest, Istanbul. Some of them are books from the 18th century.
Also, the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Pyragy was included in the list of UNESCO's landmark dates for 2024-2025. This initiative of the country was approved by the meeting of the UNESCO Executive Board held in May this year in Paris. This solution will not only promote the creativity of the famous classical poet, but also promote the cultural diplomacy promoted by our country on a global level.
