The exhibition «Higher school of folk arts: science - education - art» at the Gallery of traditional arts and crafts in Sergiev Posad
From April 3 to April 30, 2024 the Gallery of Traditional Arts and Crafts in Sergiev Posad hosted the exhibition "Higher School of Folk Arts: Science -Education - Art". More than 300 unique works of traditional crafts were presented at the exhibition: artistic lace weaving, artistic embroidery, Bogorodsky artistic wood carving, Fedoskinskino, Palekh, Mstera, Kholuy lacquer miniature painting, Moscow painting, Zhostovo metal painting, Rostov enamel artistic bone carving, jewelry, traditional toy (fig. 1-411).
The works of traditional applied art presented at the exhibition were created by modern talented youth studying at the Higher school of folk arts (academy) under the guidance of experienced teachers. Also visitors of the exhibition could get acquainted with the educational and methodological literature on various types of traditional arts and crafts created by the teaching staff of the university.
