Abstract
Languages widely used in international communication and international affairs are advanced languages, and today the teaching of foreign languages in most countries of the world is not limited to the borders of their own country, but also interacts with other nations and cultures, means that it will be studied more so that it can be effectively recognized and taught. Although modern teaching methods have been developed for teaching foreign languages, especially English, as a foreign language, there are specific problems in mastering it. The article discusses the problems of teaching English in higher education.
Key words: Higher education system, English language, international experience, problems in education, pedagogical methods.
When we talk about a limited higher education environment, we do not mean the availability of furniture in classrooms or the location of educational institutions. In most cases, students try to speak English only under the supervision of a teacher. There is also a lack of regular English speakers around the students. As a result, it is difficult to learn and communicate in English. Learning materials, especially books and audio materials, are tools to help with the learning process. If a student follows audio and video assignments in the language being studied, he or she will learn how to pronounce words and sentences. It should be noted that students tend to learn through films, but films include jargon and dialects. Therefore, language learners should be careful.
It should be noted that students often do not take language learning seriously. Problems such as adherence to grammar rules and language barriers can stifle students' interest in language acquisition and lead to a lack of seriousness. In fact, I find the idea that sentences made to be clear do not have to be grammatically correct to be understandable to be both correct and partially incorrect at the same time. This is because grammatical rules are constantly being distorted when speaking. Students do not always follow and cannot follow the rules learned in class. In addition, in non-philological universities, students treat foreign languages as a secondary subject. Unfortunately, in most cases, students learn the language during the lessons. They do not try to learn new words by practicing pronunciation, writing essays independently after school. One of the biggest drawbacks is that when mistakes are corrected, the idea that "this is not my language" often takes root in the minds of students. This negatively affects the learning of a foreign language.
Excessive use of the native language in the audience. Learners learn another language only when they have to use it. The teacher should require students to communicate in the language they are learning. Only then will the level of language development and pronunciation increase. Learning a foreign language can only be successful if it is strictly enforced and subject to restrictions.
Student dependence on the teacher. Self-study, problem-solving, and research are essential to mastering any science. The fact that a student addresses a teacher for every small problem is a sign of student dependence. This reduces the student's ability to work on himself.
This is the solution to the problem. There are a number of ways to do this. One of them is that the student should use audio materials to learn the correct pronunciation of sounds and words. It is a bridge, at least in part, to watch films in a foreign language

and videos for language teaching independently. Second, teachers also have a role to play in teaching English, and motivation and interest in the lesson play a key role. In addition, the use of different methods in language teaching should be considered, as it helps teachers to create an appropriate environment for students to learn English and to help students deal with learning problems.
Teaching foreign languages in higher education institutions includes 1) practical or communicative, 2) general education, 3) upbringing, 4) the use of acquired skills and abilities for other purposes, ie development goals. 'yadi. General, educational, and developmental goals occur in the pursuit of a communicative goal. Let's take a closer look at these 4 goals:
1. Communicative (practical) goal: Through this goal, students develop skills in English language materials. Students should be able to use lexical and grammatical pronunciation materials independently in speech. English speaking, reading and writing skills will be developed.
2. General educational goal: Through this goal to further develop students' thinking, to receive and impart information in English, to gain a deeper understanding of English, new knowledge of English and the history and literature of the people of the country where the language is studied. and broadening the student worldview through the acquisition of insights and information about the culture. Students will be able to understand, develop their thinking and broaden their horizons at the expense of a foreign language or in English.
3. Educational goal: This goal is to provide international, moral and aesthetic education in a foreign language - English language, as well as to develop an attitude to work. Of course, this is done by analyzing the subject of English speech, the content of English texts through English-language materials.
4. Developmental Objective: This goal defines the guidelines for learning, teaching, and learning about students personally. It develops the skills of analyzing language facts, generalizing, drawing independent conclusions, listening, speaking, acting. It teaches to imagine, to create a speech situation, to have a logical connection in speech, to think independently, to understand the meaning of words, to work independently with a dictionary, manuals, and optional classes , develops independent preparation for extracurricular activities, their conduct. The four goals above are always complementary and interrelated. These four goals should be achieved through English language materials and speaking activities that are taught and repeated in each lesson.
In conclusion, it is the improvement of the education system, the removal of old methods and techniques that do not correspond to the present. Improving the scientific level of foreign language methodology is the popularization of best practices, the reconstruction of the methodology on the basis of innovations in linguistics, psychology, pedagogy, psycholinguistics. For foreign language teaching to be practical, the student must focus on the ability to work independently and competently on a foreign language. By increasing and strengthening the educational aspect of the subject of a foreign language, by teaching meaningful, educational texts, newspaper, magazine articles, by analyzing socio-political, educational issues, determining the main idea of the text, and from the classroom, higher education is done through extracurricular activities. They educate students in the spirit of patriotism, internationalism, friendship and broaden their worldview.
