Abstract: this article discusses national handicrafts and tourism. Home crafts were the most common type of crafts in pre-capitalist times. This type of craft is an integral part of the natural economy. Urban development is inseparably linked with the rapid growth of custom-made crafts and the emergence of craft products on the market. As a result, handicrafts became a commodity, producing goods for trade.

Keywords: crafts, hand-made, carving, embroidery, sewing, knitting, jewelry, sawdust, knitting, tourism.

New types of handicrafts have emerged due to the need for the period. Artisans also specialize in the production of various products. Urban neighborhoods are shaped by craftsmen. Some neighborhoods, quarters, cities, and countries have become famous for their handicraft products. In developed countries, only the handicrafts and sewing industries (sewing, shoemaking, carpet weaving, jewelry, carving, etc.) have been preserved.

After Uzbekistan gained independence, a new era in the development of handicrafts began, and national crafts were revived based on market rules. As a result of the privatization of local industrial enterprises in Uzbekistan, small state-owned enterprises were transformed into private artisans, and new artisans were established. Handicrafts began to work not only in the domestic market, but also for exports. The organizational form of handicraft has also changed: a small family enterprise, with its development in the form of individual labor.

On October 24-25, 1995 the 1st Republican Fair of People's Artists and Crafts was held in Tashkent in close cooperation

with the UN Resident Office in Uzbekistan. In 1997 "Master" Creative Production Association of craftsmen and craftsmen was established. Craftsmen of the President of the Republic first entered the Chamber of Commodity Producers of Uzbekistan and then the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. They are united into a special organization - the Republican Association "Hunarmand".

Entrepreneurs will participate in the Annual Initiative Republican Contest of Entrepreneurs, Artisans and Farmers in Uzbekistan. From 1996 to 2005, 10 craftsmen were recognized as winners of the Initiative competition for their achievements in folk crafts. During the years of independence, along with other spheres, we have been reviving, developing and enriching ancient traditions and schools of national crafts. The Margilan silk atlases and skullcaps, the Khiva carpets, the Nurata embroidery, and the Bukhara gold embroidery are widespread. The handicrafts made by our craftsmen are on display today in many museums and international exhibitions, showing the lifestyle, value and creative potential of our people. Master-apprenticeship schools are set up in the field, and young talents are taught the secrets of folk arts and crafts. As a result, a new generation of talented craftsmen is following in the footsteps of their ancestors and is developing in the spirit of devotion and respect.

Also, in accordance with the established procedure, we will create "Usto-Shogird" schools, small mechanization tools and equipment for artisans, to teach them how to create and restore high-quality examples of applied arts while preserving the traditions of applied arts. supply of raw materials, promotion of artisans abroad, promotion of them at trade shows and festivals abroad, organization of bidding, organization of various advertising broadcasts through national and foreign mass media to publish booklets on the activities of craftsmen, to know the rights of artisans and to hold seminars on the latest news in the law, to advise the craftsmen on state awards, and to help repair and build workshops.
