Conclusion. The held research works prove the fact, that a student during his study at "Theory and

art history" specialty can use the received knowledge at physical culture lessons and also get motivation and new aesthetic principles during this specialty study. Keywords: physical culture, student, theory and history, arts, culture.

Introduction. Nowadays history is an integral part of a person's life. We have a unique opportunity to penetrate into our past, discovering how human race was developing and also all facts connected with it. An integral part of human race starting from primitive state and till nowadays is art. Penetrating into the history of this unique phenomenon, we have the opportunity not only to know how art was developing in general, but also see how a person's consciousness was changing, aesthetic taste was developing [1,4]. By the example of art we can also see how the attitude of a man to physical culture (PC) was changing [4]. This opportunity is available, first of all, for students, who study art starting from its sources at "Theory and art history" specialty.

How can a student of this specialty see this physical culture history dependency on art history? Physical culture history is very ancient. Developing, it included knowledge, accumulated also by other sciences, such as pedagogics, medicine, culture and art [1,4,5]. Art history, as the recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize Niels Bohr said, has the ability to produce harmony in memory, which can't be analyzed, explaining this miracle of free game and fantasy, which provides personality development [4,5,6,7]. But if we refer to the definition of physical culture, we will see the following: physical culture is a part of society culture, which presents a set of values and knowledge, created and used by society for physical and intellectual development of a person, his motional activity development and a healthy way of life formation [4,5,6,10]. Hence, we can come to the conclusion that both things have the same function, provide personality development and self-development.

At the same time, the following question is still urgent: Will a student be able to use in practice, at physical culture lessons, knowledge, gained during theory and art history study? Physical culture and art are

connected and physical culture, in its turn, has different forms of expression: in music, poetry, sculpture and art. For example, such epic literary works as "Iliad" and "Mahabharata", which glorify martial arts of ancient Greeks and Ancient India. Art of Ancient Greece and Rome in general can be considered as the history of physical culture development, as these cultures created a lot of sculptures, including famous "Discobolus", not to mention the fact that Greece became the ancestress of the Olympic Games.

However, Greece gave us not only the Olympic Games, but also great philosophers, who thought that sport and art are the things that can't be separated. For example, Plato, who defined only two abilities in a person: musical and gymnastic. One ability stimulated temperament, the other stimulated wisdom. Plato also was the champion in pankration, wrestling combined with stand-up fight. It proves that ancient wise men were not only creators, but also actively participated in different kinds of sport. It is also proved by the following statement: "a sound mind in a sound body" [4,9].

Ancient world had special attitude to a human body. Studying the culture history of antiquity, the first thing, which a student would mention is the desire of the Greeks and the Romans to improve their bodies. They were on a diet, fulfilled physical exercises, both men and women. Great attention paid to body training was also a good base for further development of a young man as a warrior. For example, a political figure of Athens and a poet Solon very often cheered up young sportsmen and called out for making use of a harmonious body. As a result, his efforts were effective, and instead of spree young people tried to develop their bodies, the beauty of which could be demonstrated then at a theatre performance or at the stadium [2]. That is why the epoch of Antiquity can be considered the epoch of a healthy life style and a beautiful body

popularization. Studying this part of art history a student can gain the idea of harmony between a body and a spirit, developing these qualities in himself: developing and strengthening own body with the help of physical culture and developing spiritually owing to art study.

Apart from Antiquity, art history has other important epochs. Which of them can also give a student some motivation? Undoubtedly, it is Renascence. During this epoch the canons of Antiquity beauty were renewed. Again appears the interest in body, in its idealization, which is especially felt in the works of a famous sculpture Michelangelo. His famous work "David" reflects the idea, that a human's body is beautiful; the author demonstrates the ideas of correspondence with physical beauty, power and spirit strength [3,4].

Modern life also can be considered as the example of motivation. If Antiquity and Renascence dictated us the idea of beautiful body and at the same time of a harmonious mind, for example, 30-60-s of the past century form the period of an open propaganda of a healthy life style. A vivid example can be optimistic canvases by a Soviet artist Alexander Dayneko. His pictures demonstrating sportsmen, such as "Basketball", "A circling relay-race" call out for taking a ball or running, as the sportsmen in these pictures. A trained body represented the state with a powerful population ready for new achievements. That is why the theme of sport was developed in art of this period, however, the main idea was the same, as during Antiquity: a sound mind in a sound body [4,9].

Conclusion

Thus, by the example of several epochs it is seen that art and physical culture are connected. The idea of a harmony between a body, soul and spirit is seen through the ages and cultures. This idea becomes popular nowadays. The aim of the student, who studies theory and art history, is not only to see beauty in works of art, but also in the synthesis with the received information define the idea, which the artists tried to present. The main power of

art is to leave people memory of sports triumphs. The received knowledge a student can use in practice. Hence, a student has the right to consider physical culture in terms of art study. During his research work he can use the received information in practice, but whether he will do it or not depends only on student himself, his motivation for self-development in the sphere of physical, social-moral. Art can only stimulate a student and make him change his personality inside and outside.
