IT IS ANCIENT CUSTOM TO HONOUR ELDERS
Аннотация: the beginning of literature starts with respect for parents and elders. In the creative world of Magtymguly, the role of the elderly generation in the formation of brave men is given great importance and valuable thoughts about it.

The literary heritage of Magtymguly Pyragy contains the intellectual wisdom of the Turkmen people. The poems of Magtymguly have great value in educating young generations:
Gadym setdir yat etmek ulusyn - he states and this phrase can be translated as "it is ancient custom to honour elders". The word "set" in the original variant of this verse means custom, rule. The word "yat" is used in the sense of respect, honor. In this line, the wise poet notes that honoring one's elders is an age-old principle that
must be followed by young people. These rational ideas are also reflected in folk art works as "respect elders - glorify youngers", "elders start, youngers will keep on", "While there is higher mountain, the lower one will not get wet", "If the elders are bridge, do not walk on it" and many other folk proverbs. It is exhorted that the honour and admiration of the older people should be held high. Magtymguly Pyragy in the poem "Mkhtumkuli's Advice":
Never speak sharply to a fellow man The poor are aided by your courtesy. Stay distant from the sinner if you can Doing your work well needs efficiency.
Means that it is important to admire not only elder people but human being, which is necessary in human relations. This principle is closely related to the upbringing of sons and daughters in the family. A child's duty to his parents begins with honoring and respecting his elders. Our forefathers regulated the regular maintenance of order and decency in the family so that the youth would grow up to be humane and high humane people. We sthis clearly when we look at the rich literary heritage of our nation. A very ancient folk tale has been preserved in the "Gorkut Ata" epic, which says, "A girl will not take advice if she does not follow the example of her mother. A son will not provide the family if he does not follow the example of his father." The meaning of this proverb broadly explains that in the family, a son or daughter should respect their parents and elders and follow the rules prescribed by them. The proverb says that honoring elders, following them, and taking an example from elders brings prosperity to the family. Here the word "sachak" means riskal or generosity. In the poem "Gidiji bolma" by wise Pyragy: Mert ogludyr, ile yazar desterhan, Dogry soz ustunde berer §irin jan, Omruni otgurer, diymez bir yalan, Jaht eylap, yalan soz aydyjy bolma.
It is praised that a brave young man can share the main virtues - generosity -along with the character of truthfulness and not telling lies. Magtymguly Pyragy says:
The sons of statesmen will become leaders in their youth. In the epic "Gorkut ata" it is said that "The son is one of the two eyes of the father. If the son is of people, he is the source of the hearth." In these meaningful lines, good examples of young people are defined by the phrase "son of people" and the generation should follow the national principles from an early age. Thus, they are encouraged to be noble. The beginning of literature starts with respect for parents and elders. In the creative world of Magtymguly, the role of the elderly generation in the formation of brave men is given great importance and valuable thoughts about it. In his poem "Unholiness": O Makhtumkuli, mullahs without merit Rush turbaned through the land like savage wolves, Still ravening, they hunt our honour down, Devouring everything we should inherit.
As he said, the lines of spiritual heritage passed down through the generations are a valuable resource in educating the youth of the Motherland based on the guidelines of our ancestors.
