INTRODUCTION

In today's globalized world, proficiency in English has become essential for communication across cultures. However, effective communication in English requires more than just language proficiency; it also necessitates cultural sensitivity and awareness. This thesis explores the importance of cultural sensitivity in English language education and examines how psychological insights can inform teaching practices aimed at promoting cross-cultural understanding. By understanding the psychological factors that influence intercultural communication, educators can design instructional strategies that foster empathy, respect, and appreciation for cultural diversity among language learners.
