INTRODUCTION
Motivation plays a pivotal role in language learning, influencing students' engagement, persistence, and success. For English language learners (ELLs), maintaining high levels of motivation is particularly crucial due to the challenges associated with acquiring a new language. The goal of this thesis is to explore how psychological principles can be leveraged to boost motivation among ELLs and cultivate a positive learning environment in the English language classroom. By examining theoretical frameworks, empirical research, and practical applications, this study aims to provide educators with effective strategies for engaging ELLs, enhancing their motivation, and promoting successful language acquisition.
