GOVERNMENT SUPPORT OF SERVICES IN UZBEKISTAN
Annotation. In this article, the state's attention to the services sector for the rapid development of the economy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the essence of the decisions and decrees adopted by the government to develop the sector are studied in detail. Also, the existing problems in the field were addressed and relevant solutions were given.

It is important to ensure the rapid development of the Uzbek economy, improve the living standards of the population and the development of services in the employment of the unemployed. The service sector affects all segments of the population and influences socio-economic processes, which reflects the importance of developing the service sector. Today, the government is implementing a number of reforms to develop the services sector.
In particular, the Presidential Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 16, 2020 No. №-4752 "On measures to support the services sector" was adopted. According to the resolution, the equivalent of $ 100 million from the Fund for Reconstruction and Development will be provided to commercial banks to develop the services sector. Loans to entrepreneurs in the service sector, especially for the establishment and equipping of enterprises (except for businesses in the financial and trade sectors) operating in the domestic, educational, medical, information and communication and other high-demand sectors Up to 1 billion soums will be allocated at the central bank's base rate.
Also, the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures to accelerate the development of the services sector" №-5113 dated May 11, 2021 to further increase the share of the services sector in the economy, full use of existing opportunities in the field of services, to address the problematic issues of expanding the range and improving the quality of services, to further support businesses in this area, to encourage their ideas and initiatives.
The government is carrying out significant reforms in the development of the service sector in our country. Accelerated development of the service sector, gross domestic product in the "Action Strategy for the five priority areas of
development of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021"3, approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated February 7, 2017 №-4947 Increasing the role and share of services in the formation of the country, deepening the structural changes in the structure of services, primarily at the expense of their modern high-tech types, modernization and diversification of leading sectors of the national economy was identified as one.
Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated May 11, 2021 No. №-5113 on measures to accelerate the development of the services sector. The resolution calls for increasing the share of the service sector in the country's economy, fully utilizing the existing opportunities in the field of services on the ground, expanding the range and improving the quality of services, addressing pressing issues, further strengthening business entities in this area. llab support is intended to encourage their ideas and initiatives. According to the resolution, the main directions of development of the service sector in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2021-2023 are:
- Transform the services sector into an important driver of economic growth and double the volume of services by 2023 ;
- providing ready-made business plans and projects to the population, providing them with "comprehensive services" covering the stages from vocational training to starting a business;
- Improving the efficiency of government agencies and organizations in this area and strengthening the accountability of officials through the introduction of a system for evaluating the development of the service sector in the country;
- elimination of excessive bureaucratic barriers in the field of services, expanding the range of services based on the specifics of each region, expanding the coverage of transport, financial, as well as banking, tourism and trade services in the regions, especially in rural areas;
- Capacity building of education and health services in all regions of the country, improving their quality, creating favorable economic and infrastructural conditions for the involvement of the private sector, etc.
In order to ensure the balanced development and diversification of the activities of enterprises in the service sector, to increase the competitiveness and quality of services they provide, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan on February 26, 2016 decision No.
The introduction of a system for evaluating the development of the service sector in the country is increasing the efficiency of government agencies and organizations in this area and strengthening the responsibility of officials.
