Abstract: This article discusses the dynamics of the development of musical interests

Keywords: music education, music, art, teaching and upbringing methodology

The development of interest in elementary school music students is one of the most important tasks of the modern school. In the learning process, the development of interest is very important, since without it it is impossible to perceive the material. Being a learning tool, interest updates the most important elements of knowledge and contributes to the successful acquisition of skills. Cognitive interest contributes to the oncoming movement of the student towards the teacher, which is necessary for a successful learning process. As well as cognitive interest contributes to the formation of personality. The development of interest in musical art affects the child's education, the more a child is interested in musical art, the richer, brighter his imagination, feelings, and spiritual world. Of particular importance is the problem of interest and enthusiasm in the field of art, where without emotional enthusiasm it is impossible to achieve even small results, no matter how much you give it strength. The task of the teacher is to develop the interest of students and increase their level.

One of the forms of social orientation of an individual is interest. By definition, given in the Soviet Encyclopedic Dictionary, interest becomes "the real reason for social actions that underlies immediate motives - motives, ideas, etc. -participating individuals, social groups, classes ".The essence of interest as a general phenomenon and social phenomenon in its objective - subjective basis. It reflects objective reality, from which a person chooses what is valuable and significant to him. Through interest, a person's connection with the objective world is established. Everything that makes up the subject of interest is drawn by a person from objective reality, but not everything becomes his interest, but only that for him there is a need and significance. "Interest," wrote S.L. Rubinshtein, "always assumes the character of a bilateral relationship. If I am interested in any subject, it means that this subject is interesting for me ". Interest is the unity of expression, manifestation of the internal essence of the subject and the reflection of the objective world, the totality of the material and spiritual values of human culture in the mind of the subject. Considering interest as a pedagogical problem, through the prism of values, we can argue that any interest, if it is socially useful in its subject content and orientation, is of great value to the personality of a growing person. Thanks to interest, the objective world is approaching a person by some side, it becomes not indifferent to it, but necessary, valuable for its existence

and development. Musical education and upbringing of students today can rightfully be attributed to the most priority areas of scientific and pedagogical research. At the elementary school, the foundations of music education are being laid, therefore, interest in the problem of the musical development of children among teachers has grown, due to the desire to find new effective mechanisms for interacting with the student's personality to achieve effective results in the process of music education.

In the course of the psychological and pedagogical research, the degree of elaboration of the problem of developing musical interest in younger students in pedagogical theory and practice was studied and analyzed, and the theoretical and methodological foundations of the study were determined. In the course of studying psychological and pedagogical literature, we concluded that it is not easy for a teacher to navigate a huge number of publications on the development of interest and to streamline from the point of view of a teacher a stream of conflicting opinions and theories in the field of musical education of younger schoolchildren. We tried to analyze ambiguous concepts, build an interpretation of interest that would best meet the needs of musical and pedagogical practice. Interest is a selective focus of a person's attention, a manifestation of his mental and emotional activity, an activator of various feelings, a special alloy of emotionally-volitional and intellectual processes that increase the activity of consciousness and human activity. Interest can be called a leading driver of human activity. Through interest, we penetrate into the processes of interaction between the subject and the object, into the mechanisms of activity and consider it as if from the inside.

A special place in the educational process is occupied by the development of interest of younger students in the musical art. In this paper, we propose a diagnostic technique aimed at developing interest in musical art in children of primary school age, which: provides a comprehensive examination of all musical activity. As well as a diagnostic study of the level of formation of musical interest was carried out and the dynamics of the development of the level of musical interest was analyzed.
