Khorezm dance
The main difference between the dances of Khorezm from other regions of Uzbekistan is the stormy energy, the delight of life and a bright temperament. The traditions of Khorezm dance date back hundreds of years, and are preserved to this day. The philosophy of this dance is to express love for life, nature and work, which is reflected in the choreography: gestures imitating the world of animals and birds, movements similar to working and everyday ones are characteristic here. One of the properties of Khorezm dance is sharpness and some pauses in poses. A characteristic difference from the Bukhara and Ferghana schools is that there are practically no rotational movements in Khorezm. The most famous and popular dance of Khorezm is "Lazgi", which is close to the famous Lezginka.
Bukhara dance

see an amazing combination of primitive forms of dance with graceful movements: plastic swaying, slow rotation, etc. replace the sharp movement. One of the features of the Bukhara dance is the emphasis on the upper part of the body: arms, shoulders, neck, chest. And also, sometimes Bukhara dancers use two additional simple musical instruments during their performances - "kayraki" (metal plates somewhat similar to castanets) and "zangi" (spherical bells that are worn as bracelets on wrists and ankles).
Ferghana Dance
Lyrical, soft, plastic - this is how you can describe the Fergana dance. During the performance of this dance, smooth movements of the hands, playful movements of the head with a flirtatious look prevail. Unlike Khorezm and Bukhara, where there is strict adherence to choreography, improvisation during dance is popular in Fergana. However, there is a special rule: here it is customary to keep the hands turned up, whereas in other dance schools, the palms can be in any position. Also, unlike imitations of the animal world in Khorezm dances, Ferghana dances depict human relationships, and mostly lyrical and romantic.
