THE RESULTS

Shakespeare depicts a world in Othello where deception is a powerful tool, especially by the clever Iago. Iago uses soliloquies and sophisticated manipulations to sow doubt and mistrust in Othello's mind, manipulating his anxieties. Iago's deception draws the spectator into his plot to bring down those around him. Shakespeare's portrayal of manipulation shows how easily trust can be broken and how dreadful the repercussions are when dishonesty rules.

In "The Poison of Jealousy," jealousy drives character behaviours and shapes the story. Iago's insinuations fuel Othello's jealousy, clouding his judgement and making him mistrust Desdemona's fidelity. The drama explores Othello's inner turmoil as jealousy erodes his willpower. Roderigo and Emilia also succumb to jealousy, showing its pervasiveness and destructive effects.

The Tragic Unraveling: Othello's tragedy involves manipulation and jealousy, leading to disastrous results. Othello's lunacy is typified by reckless decisions spurred by his emotions, ending in the death of his beloved wife Desdemona. The drama reaches its tragic climax when Othello realises his betrayal and the irreparable damage caused by his jealousy-fueled wrath. Shakespeare's depiction of Othello's tragic downfall shows human fragility and the dangers of basic impulses. Human Nature Reflections:
