Geography (from Greek yewypa^ia - geographia, lit. «earth describe-write») is the study of the Earth and its lands, features, inhabitants, and phenomena. The first recorded use of the word geography was by Eratosthenes, a Greek scholar who lived from 276-194 BC who is credited with creating the discipline of geography (Eratosthenes' Geography. Geography can also influence the kind of variations we see in regional dialects. The first way this can occur is through contact with neighboring communities that speak other languages. After a while, the groups might adopt some vocabulary from the other language or form a new language incorporating elements of both. Geography is the study and revision of physical features of the Earth and its atmosphere; the three major branches of geography are Human Geography, Physical Geography, and Environmental Geography.
When studying an academic discipline that features much intricate terminology such as geography, it is crucial to depend upon a glossary.
These are common terms that relate to geographic maps: latitude, longitude, topographic map, political map, scale, and distribution. The «ography» part comes from the Greek word graphein, which is literally to write about something. The word «graph» derives from the same basis. Thus, GEO + GRAPHY literally means «to write about the Earth.» We have commonly come to understand that the translation might also be taken as to describe and map the earth. A gazetteer is a geographical dictionary or directory used in conjunction with a map or atlas. It typically contains information concerning the geographical makeup, social statistics and physical features of a country, region, or continent. The five themes of geography are location, place, region, movement, and humanenvironment interaction. The five themes enable you to discuss and explain people, places, and environments of the past and present. References:

Today, special attention is paid to achieving independent, creative work of students, differentiating the student's academic work, increasing enthusiasm for education, and improving teaching methods in accordance with international standards. Creative approaches to teaching English in elementary grades are successfully implemented on the basis of digital education systems. Through the purposeful use of technology: Students read, listen to, and view authentic, engaging, and timely materials from the target culture. Students practice interpersonal skills as they interact via video, audio, or text in real-time with other speakers of the target language. Five innovative methodologies currently practiced in the teaching of foreign languages are discussed: the Silent Way, Suggestopedia, Community Language Learning, the Comprehension Approach, and the Communicative Approach. Artificial intelligence in education has made it easier for educators to create personalized learning experiences tailored to an individual's unique needs and interests. Furthermore, it has helped automate many mundane tasks associated with teaching, freeing up teachers' time for more meaningful activities. Kahoot is one of the best free interactive classroom technology tools. On the platform, you can create fun quizzes with questions and answers on any topic. You can also make the quizzes your own by adding images and videos.
Language technology, often called human language technology (HLT), studies methods of how computer programs or electronic devices can analyze, produce, modify or respond to human texts and speech. Working with language technology often requires broad knowledge not only about linguistics but also about computer science. Innovative learning materials are learning materials that are more flexible in accordance with the needs of students. Flexibility considers and takes into account various aspects that include student characteristics including intellectual, emotional and spiritual abilities as well as obstacles in le arning.
How technology in language learning supports students? Technology increases the students' opportunity for authentic interaction with native speakers and other language learners at various levels within or outside the classroom. Practice leads to perfection and technology-rich language learning makes it possible. Virtual and augmented reality technologies have the potential to transform the way English language education is delivered. These technologies provide immersive learning experiences, allowing students to interact with English language environments and practice their language skills in real-life scenarios. It has enormous educational potential both within and beyond the classroom milieu as it allows learners to easily access various instructional materials using different educational platforms, it facilitates learners' exposure to native speakers' lessons and tutorials and their engagement in diverse online courses. MULTILINGUALISM - ANOTHER POSSIBILITY AFTER BILINGUALISM
"If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language,
that goes to his heart." Nelson Mandela
Annotation
Multilingualism is a great wealth. Multilingualism is the highest degree of development of linguistic consciousness. Numerous studies show that multilinguals outperform monolinguals on intelligence tests, mainly in solving problems for the manifestation of originality of thinking, mental flexibility, and better focus on performing several tasks as the same time.
