need to adapt their writing; a pragmatic approach. On the other hand, students might be encouraged to challenge writing conventions and only adopt them if they seem justified; a critical approach. Recently attempts have been made to try and reconcile these opposing views. A critical pragmatic approach to EAP encourages students to develop writing conventions required by colleges and universities while also encouraging them to think about the reasons why these conventions exist. EAPs can be in-house or outsourced. An employee assistance program (EAP) is a benefit program that assists employees with personal or work-related problems that may impact their job performance, health and general well-being. EAPs usually offer free and confidential assessments, short-term counseling, referrals and follow-up services for employees. The primary objective of the Employee Assistance Program is, according to the EAPA, "to improve the quality of working life". This obliges both company managers and individual employees to ask themselves what the quality of working life is, what aspects can affect it, and how it can be improved. An EAP program focuses instruction on skills required to perform in an English-speaking academic context across core subject areas generally encountered in a college or a university setting. Programs may also include a more narrow focus on the more specific linguistic demands of a particular area of study, for example business subjects. Programs may be divided into pre-sessional courses and courses taken alongside students' other subjects. In the former case, sometimes EAP courses may be intended to raise students' general English levels so that they can enter a college or a university.
English for Academic Purposes is a language style that is used when writing various academic works. Unfortunately, in schools and even universities very little attention is paid to the development of writing; the main emphasis is on vocabulary and grammar. But developing academic writing skills means improving language at all levels. Now you know the features of English for academic purposes and will be able to apply our recommendations in practice. Writing scientific papers, due to the need to follow a clear structure, select words, and use additional literature, is a powerful tool for the development of not only written but also oral speech. Practice shows that people who learn English as a foreign language and develop writing skills at the same time improve their speaking skills faster and better. The publication is intended to contribute to the development of language competence for academic purposes, which is one of the priority areas of language training of our time. The content of the manual is determined, on the one hand, by the practical needs of students related to the implementation of academic and professional tasks, on the other hand, by the requirements imposed by educational programs on the quality of language training.

Digital technology has become an essential factor in the process of language learning. This quantitative study investigates the use of technology as well as teacher's support in the process of technology-based learning of English as a foreign language (EFL) among high school students. The data have been collected by the questionnaire modelling teachers' influence on learners' self-directed use of technology for language learning which consists of seven subscales. The results show that the participants' experience with technology-based language learning (TBL) is rather positive and that teachers have an important role in technology-based foreign language learning, indicating insignificant gender and EFL GPA differences but significant grade level differences on the combined dependent variables of teacher's support. Furthermore, the results revealed insignificant differences on the combined dependent variables of technology use based on the students' gender and grade level but significant differences based on the students' EFL GPA. The findings of this study may assist teachers in engaging students to efficiently use digital technologies in the process of foreign language learning at the high school level. The study of a foreign tongue improves the knowledge of one's own language: English vocabulary skills increase. The study of foreign languages teaches and encourages respect for other peoples: it fosters an understanding of the interrelation of language and human nature. By accessing a wide range of resources such as apps, online spoken practice, podcasts, eBooks, blogs, video clips, shows and movies, students can take control of their learning and get better results.Technology helps students acquire knowledge and fluency in a foreign language when web 2.0 tools are used in a collaborative learning environment, promoting learning autonomy
and socialization through blogs, wikis and online discussions. It opens doors to limitless resources and promotes collaboration. Through the use of technology, teachers can better motivate students through interactive and engaging activities, which complement traditional teaching methods and enhance the learning experience. The use of educational technology to learn English both inside and outside the classroom keeps students motivated. This is because nowadays students usually feel more comfortable using digital devices when learning a language, mainly due to tools such as voice recognition and interactive multimedia exercises.
Learning multiple languages helps the brain to nurture, and makes it easier to learn and understand new languages. It is all about learning how to truly communicate and connect with others which add an important life skill that can only be cultivated by interacting with people. Learning a language abroad is a great way to change it up from your normal classroom experience in your home country. Aside from the opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the language, you can also make new friends and learn about a new country and its culture. Social media plays a dominant role in English language learning because it provides opportunities to the English language learners to improve their writing, reading, and similarly, to read new text and phrases to improve their vocabulary. Some studies have already found screen usage has limited socializing, bedtime stories and playtime, becoming a key factor in the rising number of children with social and language impairments. All can play a pivotal role in breaking down language barriers.

IMPORTANCE OF VIDEO AND AUDIO RECORDINGS IN TEACHING ENGLISH
Annotation
Videos are inherently packed with natural linguistic material - there is so much you can extract from a video and turn into an educational activity to help students build their vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, listening, speaking, and more. Using audio-visuals can improve the visual and auditory perception of students. The teacher can easily show the class her note and then ask them to discuss it. The use of audiovisual aids can help students to understand concepts and ideas better.
