Abstract: one of the most revolutionary achievements over the past decade, which greatly influenced the educational process all over the world, was the creation of a worldwide computer network, called Internet that literally means "international network". The use of cyberspace for educational purposes is absolutely new direction of general didactics and private methods, as the changes occurring affect all aspects of the educational process, ranging from the choice of techniques and work style, to changing requirements for academic level of students. In this article authors made efforts to discover the nature of the term Internet by stating its peculiar features that inevitable in teaching foreign languages. Keywords: communication, advantage, virtual, information, trends.
To teach a language is to teach communication, transmission and perception of information. There are three areas in which the Internet can bring learning English to a new level. This is communication, information and publication. Communication via e-mail, huge layers of information are enclosed in the world web (world wild web), the publication can be carried out by creating your own page on the Internet. However, all this can be done without the Internet. You can communicate using letters and phone, for information go to the library, and publish your works in magazines and newspapers. But the Internet is bringing completely new trends to these areas [1]. Communication is facilitated and accelerated, information becomes available, and publication on the Internet has more wide audience. From a didactic point of view, the advantage of the Internet over traditional teaching aids consists primarily in the availability and relevance of authentic materials, as well as in facilitating and accelerating inter-ethnic communication. There are supporters of the idea of learning the foreign languages only with the help of the Internet, without the traditional work with a textbook. But most teachers prefer to use the Internet along with traditional teaching aids, integrating it into the learning process [2].
So, the simplest use of the Internet is to use it as a source of additional materials for teacher in preparation to the lesson. Materials can be printed out and then used during the traditional classes. Of course, in this case only part of the Internet's opportunities is used. But even with this use Internet training of FL is changing: the Internet user gets access to relevant and authentic information, which is difficult to select from other sources.
In particular, you can build a lesson using the material of online newspapers. Virtually all major newspapers in the world have their own web pages. All that can be read in the newspaper and can be seen on the first page - it represents combination of advertising billboard and content. Here are the names of the most important articles with excerpts from them, which, according to the authors, should attract the attention of readers, and the main provisions be discussed: Editorial, sports, weather and culture. In terms of mastering intercultural competence, an online newspaper is an indispensable tool. The advantage of this work is the full involvement of the whole class in combined with the different assignments: strong students can do research on more difficult articles, while a weaker one can entrust a report on weather conditions or something from the field of culture. In addition to working on reading and speaking skills, you can
replenish vocabulary. For this you need to invite students to make vocabulary articles based on the information read. Here perhaps the acquisition of new grammar skills, examples of which are met in articles will be provided [3].
The main advantage of such work is that students have access to information first-hand, and not to the weekly or even more prescribed textbooks, and become involved to the current events of the world. The Internet can serve as an assistant of teachers when teaching learners writing. The best option for fulfilling this task is chatting with a native speaker. Moreover, you can improve your pronunciation skills by talking in foreign language with your friend using Skype. During the communication in virtual reality, the learner uses his skills of foreign language, establishes friendly contacts and thus learns the culture of another country. It should be noted that training through computer telecommunication networks provides immersion for student in the real language environment and thus significantly weakens the traditional language barrier of practical use of foreign language in the certain atmosphere, since the exchange of information takes place between peers, the content of the material includes thoughts, feelings, ideas, situations that are interesting for the students and have a value in their life.
The possibilities of using Internet resources are enormous. The global Internet network creates the facilities to obtain any information necessary for students and teachers anywhere in the world: regional geographic material, news from the life of young people, articles from newspapers and magazines, the necessary literature, etc. Students can participate in testing, quizzes, contests, competitions held on the Internet, correspond with peers from other countries, participate in chat rooms, video conferences, etc. Students may receive information on the issue which is currently goes to their majoring field.
