PATRIOTIC EDUCATION OF MODERN YOUTH
Annotation: This article discusses the features of patriotism and its influence on the formation of the younger generation.
Key words: patriot, patriotic education, the younger generation, the Motherland, the younger generation, students.
Patriotic education, youth one of the most urgent problems today is the education of the future patriot of their country. This problem covers all people without exception, regardless of their religion, race, gender, culture, spiritual and moral development. First of all, this problem concerns young people. And who is this patriot? "A man who is devoted to his people, who loves his Fatherland, who is ready to make sacrifices and perform feats in the name of the interests of his homeland." The concept of "patriot" is inextricably linked with the concept of "patriotism". The problem of civil and patriotic education of young people in accordance with the national security strategy for patriotic education plays an important role in ensuring both national security and the security of a particular person.
Therefore, one of the most important issues of education today is the formation of the need to love the country, knowledge of Its history. After all, patriotism is an integral and integral part of the national idea, an integral component of culture and science. In order to solve the problems of national security in the field of education and upbringing, it is necessary to increase the role of educational organizations in educating young people as responsible citizens on the basis of traditional spiritual, moral, cultural and historical values. Human security can be ensured by educating individuals to be socially responsible and creating ethical and legal barriers in practice. Patriotism is not inherent in the human genes: it is not an inherited, but a social quality. True patriotism has a humanistic essence-respect for the culture of other peoples and their traditions.
Culture of interethnic relations and patriotism-these two phenomena are linked. Patriotism includes various spiritual components: preservation of the native language; care and duty to the great and small Motherland; respect for the historical and cultural heritage of the country; responsibility for the fate of the country; charity and humanism, i.e. true patriotism is a set of positive qualities that should be formed by society, including teachers in the younger generation. The main goal of Patriotic education is to instill in the younger generation love for the Motherland, pride in their Homeland, the formation of a desire and readiness to
protect the country if necessary, and the desire to contribute to the prosperity of the Fatherland.
Patriotism is instilled in childhood, eventually developing and enriching in the spiritual and moral sphere of life. In a later manifestation, it becomes an active civil position of the individual, expressed in actions and deeds performed for the benefit of the Motherland. One of the most important tasks of modern education today is the upbringing of a patriot. It should be implemented as a result of including students in creative work for the benefit of the Motherland, instilling love for the history, culture, and traditions of the country.
The problem of Patriotic education cannot be solved without the formation of the young generation of a respectful attitude to the past and present of their country. One of the features of modern Patriotic education is the increasing importance of the connection of a person with the place where he was born, with his small Homeland. Young people are increasingly showing a keen interest in the history of their educational institution, district, city, and region. This is how history is transformed from an abstract concept into a history of events and destinies of people intertwined with a small Homeland.
The opening of new museums and exhibitions, the organization and expansion of all types of local history activities, search operations, tourist and local history programs, heroic and Patriotic actions-all these are forms of Patriotic education. Holding such events cannot leave young people indifferent to the trials that have fallen to the lot of the older generation, to the future of the Motherland, to the defense of the Fatherland. This is confirmed by the growing number of young people who want to take an active part in organizing and conducting Patriotic events. They are happy to participate in all events, and this participation -participation at an active level - is essential for educating the new generation in the spirit of patriotism and devotion to the highest ideals of life.
Museums are also one of the most effective means of Patriotic education of students. And special attention is paid to museums of military glory. A great educational impact on students is the work of collecting documents, materials and exhibits during tourist and local history expeditions directly to the places where historical events took place.
Today Uzbekistan often faces numerous challenges - attempts to rewrite history, belittling its role in world history, and replacing traditional values that are characteristic of national culture. However, there is a tool that helps protect society in the face of these threats. And this is a conscious attitude to the Motherland, to its past, present and future, the development of national consciousness of the younger generation, the deepening of knowledge about the history and culture of the native land, about the exploits of grandfathers and greatgrandfathers in the defense of the Motherland.
At the beginning of the XXI century, patriotism acts as a mobilization resource for the development of the individual, society and the state. He calls on all citizens to unite in order to achieve a common goal - to do everything possible to become an economically powerful and politically stable country. Thus, for the education of future patriots in the face of modern youth, it is necessary to
cooperate with schools, families, teachers and children themselves. Only by helping each other, you can achieve the desired goal - to raise a true patriot. Students are provided with various opportunities to fulfill their needs and interests. And today, the leading position is occupied by the patriotic direction of education of students. On June 30, 2016, a public movement was created - "Yoshlar ittifoqi". Any student, club, or search party can join the movement. It is assumed that members of the movement in their free time will engage in volunteer activities, take part in cultural and sports events, receive additional education, first aid skills.
However, in addition to this, it is important to focus on other types of Patriotic educational activities that would be conducted in other, but no less significant areas:
- Promotion of sports and a healthy lifestyle;
- Prevention of juvenile delinquency, drug addiction, alcoholism and Smoking;
- Formation of Patriotic feelings in the younger generation and fostering a sense of pride in their country;
- Countering religious and political extremism in the youth environment, fostering tolerance;
-Inclusion of students in active creative activities for the benefit of their homeland;
- Because thanks to modern approaches to the process of patriotic education, the young generation will be able to take a new look at their country, feel personal involvement in its history and culture, and realize their role in the development of the Fatherland.
