Sun light (UV radiation) increase MMP (matrix metalloproteinase) enzyme production and play a role on photoaging in human skin [1]. In this study, MMP-1, 8, 13 inhibitory effect of methanolic extracts from cultivated Achilleamillefolium, Achilleafilipendulina, Menthapiperita and Salvia officinaliswereinvestigated at 100 |ig/mL concentration. The results were (Inhibition % at 100 |ig/mL):

The metabolomicsanalysis of four cultivated plants have been performed by using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). After deconvolution and aligned of the chromatograms, 161 mass spectral features have been detected and 88 of them were annotated using retention index libraries. The univariate (t-test), multivariate (PCA and PLS-DA) and correlations

analysis were applied to evaluate correlation between metabolomic levels and MMP inhibitory activity.

It is very well know the whole metabolite poolmay affect the activity of the plant because of synergy and antagonism mechanism between the metabolites and instead of single metabolite. Therefore, we compared the whole metabolomic profile of different plants and MMP inhibitory activity in order to find the metabolites that have stimulatingor inhibiting activity. The four plants showed similar metabolomic profiling. We found 94 metabolites have negative correlation between metabolites levels and MMP inhibitory activity, while 67 of highly positive correlation (r > 0.70). 10 metabolomics were found negatively correlatedwhiletwo of the metabolomics positively correlated in all plants for MMP-1, MMP-8, and MMP-13 inhibitory activities.

Nowadays industrial lifestyle beside cardiac, metabolic and psychiatric disorders results in high prevalence of sexual impotence. Traditional medicine like Persian Medicine (PM) are valuable resources of remedies for improving sexualpotency which can reduce the burden of this disorder.

Reports on pharmacological therapy of sexual potency that described in medieval PM, were gathered and analyzed from selected medical and pharmaceutical textbooks of PM. The search of databases such as PubMed, EMBASE/ Excerpta Medica, Science direct, Scopus, Google scholar, Web of science was performed to reconfirm the efficacy of PM remedies in conventional medicine.

44 medicinal herbs were found for increasing libido and sexual potency in PM medical texts such as gooseberry, mango, hazelnut, carrot, chickpea, cinnamon, turnip, clove, galangal, almond etc [1]. Modern studies have shownimpact of some of them on improving sexual hormone level (Ocimum basilicum [2], Cinnamomum zeylanicum [3], Corylus avellana [4]), menopausal symptoms (Citrus Aurantium

[5]), premature ejaculation and erectile dysfunction with increasing intracavernous blood flow (Phyllanthus emblica

[6] and Pistacia vera [7]). Some of them no evidences was found related to effect on sexual function.

Many medicinal herbs have been introduced to boost sex drive in PM but new studies are preliminary about
