We live in a turbulent and unpredictable world when ties that have been formed for decades or even centuries are often disrupted and torn: cultural, social, economic, political and even family ties.

In this "turning point" time the youth is the key force on which the trajectories of development and the image of the future world depend. It is extremely important that young people and first of all students not only maintain exi sting connections but also actively create and develop new ones.

These ties are a common cause that can become staples: scientific and cultural exchange, joint research, activities, broadcasting of best practices and communication.

Such an experience of communication in the format of a moderated discussion and exchange of experience in the implementation of creative projects was the international teleconference "Students of Belarus and Russia: interacting and creating together" held on April 2, 2024 and dedicated to the Day of Unity of the Peoples of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation.

The result of the teleconference was a "portrait" of an art teacher (artist-teacher, musician-teacher) of the XXI century and the competencies identified during

presentations and discussion of projects were recorded in the tag cloud.

The event became a student networking event. The parties actively exchanged contacts in order to discuss in more detail the prospects for organizing joint projects of Belarusian and Russian students in the field of art including traditional crafts (fig. 4).

During the teleconference students of the Higher school of folk arts (academy) expressed ideas about their interest in the joint development of media platforms and the creation of a series of thematic podcasts conducting an interuniversity intellectual triathlon, online challenges in pedagogy and educational trips to regional historical centers of traditional arts and crafts (fig. 2-4).

The Higher school of folk arts (academy) hopes that creative and productive communication with students of partner universities within the framework of the teleconference will not be a one-time event but a good tradition and will be continued offline.
