Annotation: The article highlights the role of legal awareness and legal culture in building a rule of law state, and for this, first of all, in increasing the legal immunity of each person, the level of legal literacy.

In his speech at the ceremony dedicated to the 27th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev also raised the issue of legal awareness and legal culture of the population. Without legal knowledge, consciousness and culture of our citizens, it will be difficult to achieve the expected results. The wise words of centuries-old lawyers "Understanding the law develops a sense of responsibility" will never lose their relevance. In other words, respect for the Constitution and laws, legal awareness and legal culture should become a way of life and activity of every citizen, every official. We need to continue to work to improve legal awareness and legal culture. We need to start legal education in the system of preschool education, and the first skills in this area, like the mother goddess, should remain in the hearts of our children for life. Our Constitution should become a real encyclopedia, deeply rooted in the minds and hearts of every citizen, fully guaranteeing his rights and freedoms. For each area and direction, for all levels of education, a scientifically based program for improving legal culture should be developed. In this case, first of all, it is necessary to seriously approach the study of the Constitution. I consider it necessary to create textbooks for secondary schools, such as "The ABC of the Constitution", "Lessons of the Constitution", "Fundamentals of the Constitution". In preparing teachers for these subjects, special attention should be paid to their political, legal and spiritual level. It is also important to create interesting shows, series, feature films, theatrical performances about the triumph of justice in life, the restoration of legal rights," he said. The resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers "On approval of the concept of continuous spiritual education and measures for its implementation" also refers to the youth's loyalty to the Motherland, enterprise, will, ideological immunity, kindness, responsibility, tolerance. gradually form from childhood such important qualities as a legal culture, non-
standard thinking, hard work. Large-scale democratic reforms are being carried out in Uzbekistan to transition to a market economy. This involves the development of legal awareness and legal culture of citizens. The higher the level of legal culture in a society, the less likely it is that people will know the rules of law, read the laws and literature and follow them. A comprehensive system of education of all segments of the population is being created to achieve legal literacy, strong-willed, knowing their rights and respect for the law, able to apply legal knowledge in everyday life, active citizenship and intolerance to crime. Discipline starts at the family level, so each parent has a great responsibility. "He does what he sees in the bird's nest," he said. The younger generation will see and adapt to the laws and norms that family members follow in their daily lives.
These include: keeping abreast of current political, social and economic developments, full participation in elections, and regular participation in local meetings.
There are a number of important factors that determine the legal development of the state and society, let's list several aspects: firstly, there should be high socio-political activity of members of a developed society, citizens of the state; Secondly, the level of legal awareness, legal culture, legal literacy should be high; Thirdly, they should have a sense of belonging to the reforms in this society.
The main tasks of increasing legal awareness and legal culture in society
are:
formation of a system of consistent communication of the content and essence of the ongoing socio-economic reforms, adopted laws and state programs in the country, "A decision in the spirit of law-abiding society is the key to building a democratic controlled state."
In raising legal awareness and legal culture in society, first of all, pay special attention to the systematic and comprehensive implementation of education, deepening legal awareness and legal culture in all segments of the population, from preschool education, personal interests and society to promoting the idea ofmaintaining a balance of interests;
to introduce into the minds of the younger generation the concepts of law and duty, honesty and purity, as well as moral norms, to accustom them from childhood to important aspects of the Constitution;
involvement in the country through the organization of legal and educational activities to form a legal culture among the population in accordance with the teaching of history, religion, national valuesof our people, as well as the formation of pride in state symbols in every citizen, strengthening the feeling of patriotism;
increasing the legal awareness and legal culture of civil servants, the formation of their intolerant attitude towards corruption and other offenses;
strengthening the interaction of public authorities and administration, including law enforcement agencies and civil society institutions in the implementation of targeted legal advocacy;
establish on a systematic basis a wide and effective use of the principles of social partnership in organizing activities to improve legal awareness and legal culture in society;
increasing the role of the media in providing legal information, the widespread use of innovative methods of legal protection, including the use of web technologies;
improvement of legal education, as well as development of a system for training, retraining and advanced training of legal personnel;
in-depth study of the scientific foundations of increasing legal awareness and legal culture in society.
On the basis of the conceptual idea "High legal culture is the key to the development of the country", organizing systematic and comprehensive human rights activities for all segments of the population to achieve legal literacy, a high level of legal awareness and the application of their legal knowledge in everyday life is one of the priorities of state bodies and organizations.
It is noted that the development of legal awareness and legal culture in society is organized systematically and comprehensively according to the principle of "person - family - community - educational institution - organization - society".
