METHODOLOGY

Welcoming the President of Turkey, the President said that the visit, which was an important political event in the development of relations between the two countries, was a sign of the steady development of our cooperation based on mutual trust and respect.

- Last year, the friendly relations between our countries reached a new strategic level. As a result of mutual efforts, the volume of trade has grown significantly. As a result of the signed documents, the relations between our peoples have become easier. I am confident that the next round of high-level talks will further accelerate this noble work, which serves the interests of our peoples, - said Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Recep Tayyip Erdogan thanked the head of state for the invitation and noted with satisfaction that cooperation between the two countries was developing steadily in all fields.

- Turkey and Uzbekistan have a great history, common traditions and are known as close friends. They always support each other both in the international arena and in their relations. I am confident that today's talks will take these friendly ties to another level, "said Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Uzbekistan is ready to expand exports to the Turkish market of light industry, chemical, metallurgy, machinery, electrical engineering, leather and footwear and agricultural products. In this regard, it was noted that the Uzbek-Turkish Chamber of Commerce opened in Istanbul is widely available.

Special attention was paid to strengthening cooperation in the field of transport communications and transit. The Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation and the Joint Commission on International Road Transport, established in accordance with the agreements on land transportation, make a significant contribution to the development of relations in this area. It was noted that the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway will create great opportunities for trade. In this regard, the importance of further optimization of transit tariffs was stressed. The efforts of the Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA), which has had a representative office in Uzbekistan since 1993, are also commendable. Over the past period, the agency has been actively involved in the implementation of a number of projects aimed at modernizing the material and technical base of medical and educational institutions, the development of agriculture and small and medium business. It was noted that there are many untapped opportunities in the talks, and the visit will give a new impetus to the development of relations between the ministries and departments and business circles of the two countries. The two sides agreed to

steadily increase and diversify bilateral trade through the supply of high value-added products and the development of long-term investment cooperation.

The study used observation, induction and deduction, dynamic series, analysis and synthesis, monographic research, systematic analysis, comparison and other methods of conducting research activities to identify ways to develop entrepreneurship by attracting foreign investment to the regions.

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

The implementation of joint investment projects in Uzbekistan with the participation of leading Turkish companies, first of all, the organization of production of high value-added products based on deep processing of mineral and raw materials in free economic zones and small industrial zones, will be further encouraged. was recorded. Partnerships between our national airlines play an important role in accelerating cooperation in the field of tourism. Uzbekistan Havo Yollari (Uzbekistan Airlines) has been operating Samarkand-Istanbul Airlines since October last year, and Turkish Airlines has been operating this route since March this year. It was noted that the establishment of direct flights and the simplification of relations between our peoples are of great importance. New plans and joint projects are currently being developed to expand flights.

The issue of implementation of joint projects with Turkish investment in the framework of tourism infrastructure development programs in our country was also discussed. Both Uzbekistan and Turkey have great potential in the field of tourism. Making full use of this potential and increasing the number of tourists will bring huge economic benefits. There are large business and industrial centers. A number of private banks, firms, popular TV channels, editorial offices are located here. Istanbul attracts tourists from all over the world due to its historical sites, abundance of monuments, beach, high level of service. An average of 7-9 million foreign tourists visit each year. You can find everything from ordinary hotels to five-star ones. In Istanbul, we met with Izzet Ekmekfibashi, Chairman of the Turkish-Uzbek Business Council of the Turkish Foreign Economic Relations Committee, to discuss cooperation between the two countries and major projects being implemented.

- First of all, I would like to briefly mention the Turkish Foreign Economic Relations Committee, which includes a number of holdings, companies, firms, whose activities are in foreign trade, international investment, services, logistics and other areas. aimed at strengthening economic cooperation, "he said. "For example, I am a member of this committee as the head of the Gentes group of companies, which specializes in construction." We work in a number of areas, including the

construction of industrial facilities, housing, banks, educational and health facilities, engineering services, and the restoration of historic sites.

Another important area was the development of pilgrimage tourism in Uzbekistan. During the talks, it was agreed to work closely with the Turkish brothers in the development of the infrastructure of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan, Imam Bukhari International Research Center, the Center for Islamic Civilization and the formation of their activities.

Today, the rapidly developing cultural and humanitarian ties are also an integral part of Uzbek-Turkish relations. In June 2016, the Days of Culture of Uzbekistan were held in Ankara. It has become a tradition for Turkish artists to regularly participate in the Sharq Taronalari International Music Festival in Samarkand, and for the Turkish State Television and Radio Company (TRT) to broadcast official ceremonies in Uzbekistan abroad. Cooperation in the field of health and medical education, exchange of experience between leading research centers and training of professional staff is also important. Our countries have been cooperating effectively within the framework of international organizations such as the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. The positions of the parties on issues of regional and international significance are similar or close. The Presidents reaffirmed their desire to strengthen peace, security and stability at the regional and international levels, and expressed their desire to expand mutually beneficial cooperation within multilateral structures. In particular, the issues of peace and stability in Afghanistan were discussed in detail. "I would like to reiterate our firm position that the only way to achieve peace in Afghanistan is for the central government and the main political forces in the country to work together," he said. The co-chairs of the Uzbek-Turkish intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation regularly report to the council on the results achieved. The coordinating bodies of the Council are the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey.

President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan congratulated the head of state on his visit and expressed satisfaction with the strengthening of ties between the parliaments, government agencies and business circles of the two countries. He expressed full support for joint projects of Turkey and Uzbekistan.

priorities to increase trade between the two countries to $ 5 billion in the coming years. It is expedient for us to consolidate the results of today's meeting and think now about the agenda of next year's meeting and the main directions of our cooperation, - said the President.

CONCLUSION

Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkey has become more active, especially in the last three years. The state visits of Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Turkey in October 2017 and Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Uzbekistan in April 2018 strengthened mutual political trust and paved the way for fruitful cooperation. The results of consistent dialogue and joint efforts are evident in the development of cooperation. For example, in 2016, bilateral trade was almost $ 1.2 billion, while in 2019 it exceeded $ 2.5 billion. Today, more than 1,300 enterprises with Turkish investment operate in our country. $ 500 million investment projects are underway.

Relations in the field of transport have also developed. In 2019, the figures grew by 33 percent in automobiles, 17 percent in railways, and 42 percent in airlines. Last year, 64,000 Turkish tourists visited Uzbekistan. It was noted that with the support of the leaders of the two countries and the conditions created, the scope of cooperation can be further expanded. At the meeting, the Ministers of Trade of Uzbekistan and Turkey spoke in detail about the development of bilateral cooperation. During the talks, all issues of cooperation between our countries and their solutions, the main tasks for the future and joint projects were agreed.
