Урок для студентов первого курса бакалавриата "Compliments in 17th century in poems by William Shakespeare". Тема: «Compliments in 17th century in poems by William Shakespeare».
Цель урока: отработка лексических навыков по теме комплимента в англоязычной культуре 17 века на базе произведений Шекспира.
Задачи:
• Развивающий компонент цели урока: развитие языковых способностей учащихся, готовности к коммуникации;
• Образовательный компонент цели урока: развитие навыков устной речи, навыков чтения;
• Развитие универсальных учебных действий: самостоятельное выделение и формулирование познавательной цели; осознанное и произвольное построение речевого высказывания в устной и письменной форме; поиск и выделение необходимой информации и смысловое чтение; понимание и адекватная оценка полученных результатов.
• Воспитательный компонент цели урока: воспитание уважительного и толерантного отношения к иноязычной культуре.
Тип урока: комбинированный.
Оснащение урока: мультимедийный проектор, компьютерная презентация, раздаточный материал, лингафонное оборудование: компьютер, подключение к интернету.
Ход урока:
I. Организационный момент.
Teacher: Good morning, students. Take your seats. Who is absent? Who is present?
Students: (give names of absent people).
II. Ход урока:
Сообщение темы урока. Самостоятельное выделение и формулирование познавательной цели (10 мин).
Teacher: The topic of our seminar is "Compliments in 17th century in poems by William Shakespeare". Have you ever read the literature of 17th century?

Have you ever read poems by Shakespeare? If yes, name them.

Teacher: Write down a definition of a compliment, that our seminar will be based on. A polite expression of praise or admiration. This definition is given in Oxford dictionary. What are the other definitions? You have 5 minutes to find some.

Teacher:
Look at your handouts. This is an abstract from "The Tragedy of Macbeth" by William Shakespeare. Your task is to read the text and find as many compliments as possible. What adjectives are used in these compliments?
While doing this and other exercises in the lesson translate all the unfamiliar words and write them down in your copybooks.
Abstract 1.
MALCOLM - This is the sergeant Who like a good and hardy soldier fought 'Gainst my captivity. Hail, brave friend! Say to the king the knowledge of the broil As thou didst leave it.
Sergeant - For brave Macbeth—well he deserves that name— Disdaining fortune, with his brandish'd steel, Which smoked with bloody execution, Like valour's minion carved out his passage Till he faced the slave; Which ne'er shook hands, nor bade farewell to him, Till he unseam'd him from the nave to the chaps, And fix'd his head upon our battlements.

Teacher: Now let's see if your assumptions were true. On the thirst slide you will see an abstract from one of Shakespeare poems, find the compliments there. Then proceed with the same task till you reach slide five.

В ходе составления урока, работы над материалами для урока, были сделаны следующие выводы: тема комплимента не входит в обязательный перечень тем по английскому языку для бакалавров высших учебных заведений; студенты не знакомы с различными видами комплиментов в английском языке; урок поможет студентам расширить словарный запас и приобщиться к классической литературе на английском языке; данный урок имеет практическую направленность и поможет студентам в общении с носителями языка; данная методическая разработка может быть использована в качестве дополнительного материала или семинара.
