Развитие самостоятельных форм обучения как актуальная проблема социологии образования сегодня

The Development of Independent Forms of Learning as an Urgent Problem of the Sociology of Education Today

With the development of science, the rapid updating of information, it is important to develop an interest in obtaining knowledge for continuous self-education. Intense changes in society caused by the development of modern educational technologies have led to the need to change the educational system. The main goal of education today is to achieve a new modern quality of education [4]. Modernization of education in the Russian Federation defines the main goal of vocational education as the training of qualified specialists of the appropriate level and profile, who are fluent in their profession, able to work effectively in a specialty at the level of world standards, ready for professional growth and their professional mobility [10, p. 25]. Modern trends in the modernization of educational programs require the introduction of modern methods of teaching a foreign language in higher education. The active introduction of new computer technologies and use of problem-solving activities in the educational process contributes to the improvement of the efficiency of the English language teaching process in higher education [8, p. 117].

The integration of Russia into the world educational space updates the development of professional contacts with representatives of foreign countries and puts forward new requirements for future specialists in the technical field, namely, the formation of creative qualities and the ability to learn independently

[7, p. 235]. Independent work not only contributes to the formation of professional competence but also provides a process of development of methodological maturity, skills of self-organization and self-control of educational activity. This is especially important because it implies the formation of a future specialist

Abstract. Modern trends in the development of society make it a priority to develop an education system based on computer technologies and creating a unified educational information environment. Sociology of education is currently exploring in depth the problems of developing forms of independent learning. Application of new computer technologies and the use of problem-solving activities in the educational process increase the effectiveness of the process of teaching English on the one hand and develop forms of independent learning on the other. The article analyzes the accumulated experience of foreign language teachers of Samara Technical University in the formation of students' independent learning by means of the introduction of information technology in the educational environment in practical classes in the English language, which helps to increase and stimulate students' interest, activate their thinking and individualize training.

as a subject of professional activity, capable of self-development [9].

Leading teachers have always considered independent work to be one of the most effective ways of intensifying students' cognitive activity, developing independence, responsibility and creativity. The student should work as independently as possible in class and at home, and the teacher should only organize, supervise and manage this process [5].

Taking into account all the above, in the process of teaching a foreign language, teachers of the Department of Foreign Languages of Samara state technical university use various educational technologies, for example, communication training technology to develop forms of independent learning in teaching foreign language communication to students. In the course of the conversation, discussion, round table, the communicative competence of students is formed, which is the basis for

adapting to the modern conditions of intercultural communication. The active use of computer technologies in foreign language classes allows to quickly and qualitatively perform multimedia presentations of project works, reports to the student scientific conference and texts of speeches to the round table. Teachers of the Department of Foreign Languages also actively use testing technology to control the level of absorption of lexical, grammatical knowledge at a certain stage of training.

It is important that in practical classes, English learners develop the ability to learn independently. This can be achieved through the use of various active forms and methods of work. Note that it is necessary that complex tasks at first glance attract students with their novelty, uniqueness and originality. In the process of teaching and education of the modern generation, one of the main aspects, in addition to emotional devel-

opment, is to increase the intellectual potential of students. Currently, students are provided with a very large amount of information that affects the learning process. Researchers raise the question: to use or not to use a computer in classes? Obviously, the computer gives the student and teacher the chance to see new opportunities, find new ideas and solve complex problems. Since the transition to the information society is currently active, the informatization of education is considered as a necessary condition for the development of the individual at the present stage. The introduction of information technologies in the educational environment of English language classes allows teachers to stimulate the interest of students, increase their thinking, individualize training, make it more effective, increase the speed of submission and absorption of information and make quick adjustments to knowledge, if necessary [6].

THE DEVELOPMENT OF INDEPENDENT FORMS OF LEARNING AS AN URGENT PROBLEM OF THE SOCIOLOGY

OF EDUCATION TODAY

An important motivating factor is the use of practice-oriented methods and ways of learning. This implies the introduction of active methods into the learning process, especially game-based training, which is based on innovative approach and activity-based games. In such games the transition from one-sided particular knowledge to multifaceted knowledge about an object, its modelling with highlighting leading contradictions, rather than simply acquiring the skill of decision-making, takes place. The first step in this approach is situation-based learning, including the use of the latest information technology.

Computer technologies in the teaching of English fully implement the principle of clarity in teaching, provide education taking into account the individual characterist-

ics of students, require the maximum use of analytical and imitative abilities of students, fully mobilize internal resources, create conditions for monitoring the formation of speech skills; self-control is

provided.

So, the use of information and communication technologies in the educational activities of future specialists in the technical field on the basis of a competent approach play an important role in the organization of effective training in the context of modernization of education. The teachers of the Department of Foreign Languages of Samara State Technical University have accumulated some experience in training future specialists in the technical field on the basis of a competent approach and problem-solving activities. They developed a whole se-

ries of textbooks for students studying in various technical specialties, for example, in chemical specialties: «Chemistry in medicine», «Chemistry in engineering», «Chemistry in nanosphere» [1-3]. This made it possible to achieve a deeper immersion of students in their specialty. Work on technical texts arouses interest among students, broadens their outlook and increases their motivation. In developing of these textbooks, emphasis was placed on the development of skills in working independently with foreign language material. Individual work has enormous didactic potential because it involves not only learning the material but also extending it, developing the ability to work with different types of information, developing analytical skills, monitoring and time management skills.
