Resume: This article discusses the geographical aspects of the production and consumption of consumer goods.

Key words: consumer goods, consumer geography, consumer goods, personal consumption, public consumption.

As the population grows, so does the consumption of the population, which, of course, involves an increase in consumer goods production in the sectors of the national economy.

In the early stages of transition to market relations, it is natural to face some difficulties in social protection. Overcoming these challenges will depend on the sectors of the national economy.

It should be noted that in our country production of completely new products, such as cars and trucks, buses, washing powder, sugar and potash fertilizers, which did not exist in the former Soviet Union, significantly increased including especially oil and wood products. At the same time, much attention was paid to modernization of the industry, new technological equipment, enrichment of its structure. In particular, attention was paid to saturating the domestic market with high-quality consumer goods [8].

The sustainability of each country's national economy is based on the gradual saturation of markets with its products, creating opportunities to replace imports. For the same purpose it is desirable to produce more consumer goods [7].

Production of consumer goods as an economic concept has been studied by the economists of the CIS. The focus of this research is more on the economic aspects of consumer goods production. These studies also investigated the regional aspects of consumer goods production [6].

Research on the development of consumer goods production in Uzbekistan has been studied by economic representatives [5]. These studies have focused more on the economic aspects of consumer goods production.

Although in Uzbekistan major sectors of consumer goodsrelated to light and food industry studies have been conductedby economic geographers, but there is little research on consumer goods production and its regional aspects.

It is well known that economic and social geography disciplines consist of 4 major sectors (economic geography, economic and social geography, social geography and political geography). The production of consumer goods studied in this research is one of the areas of industrial geography that are part of the economic geography, while consumer geography is emerging as a new branch of social geography. Therefore, geographical aspects of consumer goods production

and consumption complement each other as separate industries.

The subject of geography is expanding and socialization is taking place. As a result, new directions are emerging in the economic and social geography. "Human Geography", "Geography of the Construction Industry", "Geography of Regional Information Systems", "Geography of the Unemployed", "Geography of Public Service", "Commercial Geography", "Geography of Higher Education", "Geography of Scientific Researches". These include such areas as "geography of research", "geography of household services", "financial geography", "geography of culture", "geography of physical education and sport", "crime geography" [2].

Consumer geography is also emerging as a new trend in these disciplines. The term "geography of consumption" has been used in scientific literature since the 1960s. In 1966 SA Kovalev proposed the formation and development of such scientific direction.

Consumption and related problems have been studied since antiquity. Consumption at that time was purely for personal needs. Over time, consumption began to manifest not only in the form of personal and public consumption, [4].

In various branches of Consumer Geography I.Alekseev, V.A.Bezrukix, Yu.N.Gladky, N.V.Zubarevich, I.A.Ilchenko, E.I.Kalmutskaya, M.M.Kalashnikova, T.G.Nefedova, N.A.Starikov, E.L.Faybusovich, A.D.Yakushev and others conducted research. Analysis of the problems of food consumption in the scientific work of M.B.Wolfe, Yu.D.Dmitrevsky, V.A.Pulyarkin, V.Gryuchkov, M.G.Nikitina, A.M.Nasanov were made. Economists, sociologists, cultural historians, historians have also done research within the "Geography of Consumption" (S.G.Afanasev, A.N.Ilin, I.U.Ilyina, A.B.Rahmanov, L.S.Revenko, M.U.Timofeev, R.A.Yakupov). In recent years by foreign scientists such as S Agilar-Rodriguez, L.Williams, J.Germov, D.Kaplan, T.Kale, M.Korsals, S.Lee, S.Mahoni, R.Tessarini, A.Koe, J.D.Arms, L.Turner,

D.Harper the geography of consumption was further investigated.

The term "geography of consumption" has different definitions in the sources. In particular, in the encyclopedic dictionaries, the geography of consumption " The Geography of Consumer Geography, published in 1988, describes the following: "Geography of consumption - geographical differences in the size and structure of the consumer goods (food, clothing, footwear, etc.), and the causes of these differences (including natural conditions, national and regional traditions, income level, demographics, etc.)[1].

An excellent study, first completed on consumer geography, was done by

E.I Kalmutskaya [3].

We can say that the level of demand for consumer goods and spiritual wealth depends on the level of development of productive forces. However, if you look at consumption separately from the level of development, it is boundless and changes over time and space.
