volume of the study material;
c) constant use of various technical means enriches the methods and methods used by the teacher, makes his work more active and forces him to work;
d) as noted by the methodologists, the role of technical means in significantly improving the efficiency of students' independent work is especially great;
e) Technical means such as television and radio greatly contribute to the collective learning of foreign languages not only by children and schoolchildren, but also by people of different ages. Examples of this include special programs for teaching foreign languages, news broadcasts in these languages, speeches by guests from the countries where the language is studied in their native languages;
f) By using tape recorders, testing machines, language devices and computers, the teacher can continuously test and evaluate the knowledge, skills and abilities of the students. The use of such tools helps to determine the answers of the students of the whole class at the same time. Based on previous records, students themselves can determine the quality of their answers and the mistakes they made at any time;
g) technical means play a major role in the successful implementation of the tasks of teaching children along with their practical goals. In the lessons, folk songs of the countries where the language is being studied, speeches of famous people, and calls are played on a mechanical record. Such valuable materials are of great importance in teaching students a foreign language and educating them in aesthetic, moral, patriotism, friendship-fraternity feelings. Despite the great importance of technical means, it is clear to everyone that they cannot replace a highly qualified teacher. Accordingly, all activities carried out with various technical means in the language room and outside it should be carried out under the direct supervision of the teacher. Methodologists divide technical means into different categories. It should be noted that no definite conclusion has yet been reached in this matter.
It is recommended to meet the following requirements in the use of technical means:
a) the use of these means should not be arbitrary, they should ensure the fulfillment of specific didactic
goals;
b) it is not appropriate to use them continuously during the entire lesson or to accumulate a large number of technical means in one lesson. It is enough to use the technical means in one lesson for at least 8-10 minutes;
c) for the effective use of technical means, the teacher must have high skills and abilities; References:

The language policy of our country takes into account the knowledge of world languages of the young generation. Today, our children learn more than a dozen foreign languages along with our mother tongue in preschools, general secondary schools, and higher education institutions. All conditions for learning foreign languages have been created in the mentioned educational institutions. Classrooms are equipped with modern educational technologies for learning languages. Our schools, in turn, are equipped with textbooks that meet international standards for foreign languages. The «Concept of improving teaching of foreign languages in Turkmenistan» approved by the President serves as a basic principle for educational institutions and employees of the country.
In this article, we would like to talk about the main areas for improving the teaching of English as a foreign language. Our respected colleagues are well aware that the most effective method of teaching this language today is the communicative, interactive (interactive) method. However, we decided to give some tips to our colleagues in order to increase their work efficiency.
The methodology of teaching foreign languages studies the patterns of communicative and cognitive activity of students. The methodology solves not only the problems of teaching, but also the problems of upbringing by means of a foreign language, which is not included in the range of problems studied by didactics. The methodological component is teaching students a rational method of teaching, learning a new language for them and forming the ability to practically use it for communication (oral and written).
Teaching methodology is a complex of sciences that study the methods of orderly interconnected activities of the teacher and students, aimed at solving educational problems, a system of purposeful teacher actions that organize the educational activities of students leading to the achievement of learning goals. The methodology includes teaching methods, which include the following types: traditional, innovative, etc.
Methodology in science appears, in fact, depending on the requirements of the time. In the traditional, traditional «grammar-translation» method of teaching foreign languages, the main goal of the learning process was to make the student understand the structure of the language and the meaning of the read text through
translation. Teaching how to speak and write a foreign language was often neglected. When teaching grammar in a communicative way, it is recommended to demonstrate and teach the classic grammatical units and sentences by repeating them and using them in practice. In doing so, the student does not even feel that he is learning heavy grammatical material. Grammatical concepts and lengthy explanations of rules hinder the development of a student's communication skills. As it is known, the child begins to learn communicative skills in his mother tongue first from the habit of listening. A child who has not yet «finished speaking» can listen and understand what parents or other people are saying. That is why teaching a foreign language in a communicative way begins with mastering the habit of listening. Methodologists emphasize that it is necessary to spend more time in the beginning to develop the habit of listening, and to give more listening activities. References:
