A modern teacher should be focused on such an organization of students' learning activities, which involves the independent work of schoolchildren in self-learning knowledge under the guidance of a teacher, which connects the cognitive process with interest in the results of their work. Teachers and methodologists develop a system offorms and methods: independent work, homework, working with a book, conducting practical and laboratory work. The types of work that contribute to the development of students' independence in the educational process are determined.

Keywords: effect, independent work, educational process, creativity.

The modern stage of development of society is characterized by a rapid increase in the volume of scientific information. Under these conditions, society needs a person capable of active creative mastery of knowledge, able to quickly and adequately respond to a changing situation and predict the development of events.

Education should now give a person not only the sum of basic knowledge, not only a set of useful and necessary labor skills, but also the ability to independently perceive and master new things: new knowledge, new types and forms of work, new methods of organization and management, new aesthetic and cultural values.

Traditional student learning gave priority to subject knowledge, the basis of the educational process was based on scientific principles. However, it is not enough to transfer to the student a certain amount of knowledge, the basics of science. Education should form the ability to create, contribute to the transformation of creativity into the norm, into an instrument of accomplishment in all spheres of human activity - in work, science, technology, culture, art, management, politics.

A modern teacher should be focused on such an organization of students' learning activities, which involves the independent work of schoolchildren in self-learning knowledge under the guidance of a teacher, which connects the cognitive process with interest in the results of their work.

Independent work is an integral interconnected system of teacher and student activities as subjects of the educational process, the purpose of which is to motivate and involve the student in independent cognitive activity, and to create conditions for the development and development of such qualities and abilities as a capacity for self-regulation, self-activation, self-control, which in the future should allow them to independently study something, to master new activities [1].

The task of forming the independence of students as an essential element of educational activity, as one of the leading functions of the personality in modern conditions, is of great importance in a comprehensive school.

Studying the essence of independent work in theoretical terms, there are 3 areas of activity: cognitive, practical, and organizational-technical.

Teachers and methodologists develop a system of forms and methods: independent work, homework, working with a book, conducting practical and laboratory work. The types of work that contribute to the development of students' independence in the educational process are determined. The pedagogical technology of the organization of independent activity of the student in the practice of the school is revealed.

The essential features that characterize the student's independence in the cognitive process are:

- the ability to work purposefully and according to plan,

- choose the most rational methods of educational work,

- correctly calculate your strength and take into account the results of your own activities.

In the theory of learning formed the basic requirements for the conduct of independent work of students:

- Compliance of the content of independent work with the requirements of training programs;

- the feasibility of independent work for students;

- compliance with the principle of consciousness in their implementation;

- organization of independent work in a particular system;

- preparation of students for the performance of independent work - accurate, clear, concise instruction of students about the goals and objectives of the work;

- arming them with the necessary technical and organizational skills for its implementation;

- setting before the students of such a task, the resolution of which would require mental effort from them;

- compliance with the dosage of time allotted for the implementation of an independent task);

- direct supervision of the teacher over the course of students' performance of independent work and rendering them the necessary assistance in the event of difficulties;

Abstract: the article is devoted to the issue of career guidance in the process of studying geography by schoolchildren. To improve the professional level and expand the methodological horizons of teachers, the teaching of geography in the "team learning" mode plays a huge role. This form of education is common in foreign teaching methods when two or more geography teachers work together in the same classroom to make learning more effective. In our schools there is a similar method of such training - this is conducting integrated lessons. However, the objectives of these two methods are different. Keywords: general education system, geography teacher, knowledge, lesson.

In connection with the above, we emphasize that 2017 was initiated by the elected President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.M. Mirziyoyev has been declared the "Year of Dialogue with the People and Human Interests" [1].

Considering that today teachers have the opportunity to study at refresher and advanced training courses, participate in seminars, webinars, conferences of various types and levels, exchange views on mini-sites in educational portals, the teacher's creative activity is important and relevant in improving the career guidance of a geography teacher associated
