ABSTRACT
This article describes how to use Language Lab techniques when learning English as a foreign language. The purpose of the research is to elucidate the phenomenon using the method of the language laboratory and prove the effectiveness of the learning process in English, which is an auditory subject as a foreign language. The most interesting aspect of the lesson was how teachers integrated different technologies and harnessed their potential for language learning. Teachers also used the laboratory very effectively as a teaching environment with different paces and interaction patterns. The original Language Lab is now very outdated. This allowed faculty to listen to and manage student audio content via a wired analog cassette deck-based system with a fixed-position "sound booth." Language Lab is a very useful tool to practice and assess your language in any language. We provide a function that allows students to listen to the model's pronunciation, record it repeatedly, listen to the performance and compare it with the model, and self-evaluate it. At Language Laboratories, learners of any language are free to learn at their own pace, flexible and without necessarily having a tutor. At the same time, teachers can provide individual and collective support. The study also shows that language teachers must possess both technical and pedagogical competencies to fully and effectively utilize multimedia language labs.

INTRODUCTION History of Language Lab
Students often find it difficult to follow listening and lab work, especially in commonly conducted listening courses. This difficulty negatively affects students' comprehension because economic concepts are essentially facts that abstract or explain facts and concrete concepts. Laboratory work plays an important role in improving students' skills and abilities in learning English. It is known that the

theoretical aspects must be proven through laboratory practice (laboratory work), so English labs are compulsory in many subjects in English subjects.
A country's high quality of education indicates that the country's education sector is developing successfully. In Uzbekistan, the quality of public education was found to remain below national standards. This can be seen in student performance in high school, especially in English subjects. Teaching methods are factors that influence the quality of education. In the course of education, teachers must decide exactly which methods to use and how to achieve good results. Also, the correct and appropriate selection of teaching methods can reduce learning difficulties by increasing student motivation and intellectual activity in the classroom. There is a need to improve teaching methods and use appropriate teaching strategies according to the required teaching and learning context. Various teaching methods have been introduced to teach English. B. Surveys, projects, lecture demonstrations, problem solving, tutoring and laboratory experiments (Ross, 2007). However, in order to achieve the formulated learning objectives, it is necessary to understand that educational approaches to different topics in science may differ depending on the complexity and structure of the topic (Sola, 2007). Instructors should consider using different methods and procedures.
Experimental work is an educational activity using laboratory equipment. Lab work gives you direct access to research experiments, so it takes on a higher meaning. Students may be able to observe, gather data, form hypotheses, and make predictions based on data gathering until they reach a conclusion. It is easy to believe in certain things that are not yet true, because the use of the laboratory working method allows the student to acquire the ability to deal with all problems using the practice method. not.
Doing lab work in the process of learning English will definitely increase your interest in what is being taught. The purpose of experiential teaching is to make the teaching process easier for students to remember and to make the teaching impression last longer. Experimental teaching methods help students think about knowledge concepts and laboratory real-life situations through hands-on exercises and experiments. In this way, making an impression leads to enhancing the effectiveness of English learning at university. Among the issues the researchers focus on are listening and working in the lab. Learning listening skills and experimental work is very difficult if done only by traditional methods. In this case, it is important to think about teaching methods to improve English learning ability that are interesting and understandable for students. Educational experiments have been reviewed by (Sihole, 2004). She said teaching laboratory experiments improved students' academic

performance because this teaching method requires more memory than traditional methods. Learning using laboratory experiments is very effective because students can learn by themselves.
DISCUSSION AND RESULTS
Results from experimental observation improve student performance (Hutasoit, 2006). Laboratory experiments had a positive impact on the further development of the student's performance, because if such a thing happened, the substance given by the laboratory experiment could arise.
The word "laboratory" originated in the late 15th century. Refers to a specific structure or room where scientific professionals mix chemicals or prepare pharmaceuticals. Scientists followed structured procedures to carry out their experiments and research objectives. As science progressed, several types of mechanical and electronic devices were added to this structure. This structure was later introduced into the teaching and learning process. Each learner can actually extend their expertise under controlled conditions. Observing and improving through one's own experience is a major concern of all laboratories.
Language Labs are classrooms equipped with tape recorders and computers where you can practice listening and speaking a foreign language. A language laboratory is a room with a tape recorder for learning foreign languages.
Language laboratories are classrooms where students learning a foreign language can practice sounds and word patterns individually or under supervision, such as with sound equipment. A language laboratory or language laboratory is an audio or audiovisual facility that serves as an adjunct to modern language teaching. They can be found especially in schools, colleges and academies. The first laboratory he is believed to have was at the University of Grenoble in 1908. From the 1950s to the 1990s it was a tape-based system with a reel or (later) cassette system. Today's installations are usually multimedia PCs. The original Language Lab is now very outdated. This allowed teachers to listen to and manage student audio through a wired analogue cassette deck-based system with a fixed-position 'sound booth'.

deck-based system with a fixed-position 'sound booth'. According to the American Heritage Dictionary 4, the language labs are:
a6ffiA room designed for the study of a foreign language, equipped with a tape recorder, video recorder, or computer connected to surveillance equipment so that the teacher can listen to and speak to the students individually or in groups. increase." Webster's definition of language lab in his New World College Dictionary is: "A classroom where foreign language students can practice" While monitoring sound and word patterns individually or with audio equipment, etc. (Language Lab in Webster's New World College Dictionary). Cesar (2006) defined a language lab as:
"...a teaching tool that should perform well-structured tasks based on the student's needs." As Beder (2008) states in the Language Definition Lab:
Language laboratories are schools, colleges and training institutions with special equipment that help students learn a foreign language by listening to tapes and CDs, watching videos, recording themselves, etc. , a room in a university or academy." Mambo (2004) confirmed that:
Language labs are environments designed to improve the skills of foreign language learners. , provides listening and speaking (listening and repeating) exercises aimed at anchoring functions (grammatical structures).
Why should use a language lab for language teaching?
Language labs create a much more effective learning environment than traditional classrooms, improving student skills and allowing a high level of immersion and attention to diversity. Language labs facilitate student participation and integration in various exercises, reflected in, for example, the time it takes students to speak another language during class. In her traditional 45-minute lessons, students spend 2.2% of her time speaking in the language they are learning, while in the language lab she spends almost 24% of her time in the classroom. Also keep in mind that these numbers can be even higher depending on the exercises you do in class.
There are many different types of technology available in our current language labs. Multimedia Language Lab uses computers and integrates Language Lab software. Digital language labs typically use only digital hardware for students and software for teacher stations. A language lab can also be a mobile language lab or a wireless language lab. The most common language lab terms are:

Language Labs, Multimedia Language Labs, Language Labs, Language Labs and Media Centers, Multimedia Language Learning Centers, Software Languages, Digital Language Labs, Portable Language Labs. Studies show that in the average classroom language lesson, all students speak together only for a limited portion of the lesson. With a language lab, all students in the class can work on different levels in 6 different groups or self-access, and speak simultaneously without distracting each other regardless of the class size. This work can be played back to the students to practice and improve and the teachers can save this work and assign this as homework for the students. Without a language lab, this is not possible and in a class of more than 10 students, each student gets less than one minute of speaking practice without being able to record or save the students work.
In addition, the use of the language lab allows students to have access to the information quickly and easily developing many types of classroom exercises, personalizing the learning process, encouraging creativity, innovation and training . Language laboratories also favor a high degree of skill development, team and collaborative work eliminating socio-temporal barriers since information is not found in a particular and specific place and at the same time, they foster digital literacy responding to new educational and social needs.
The basic aims of the language lab
The basic aims of the language lab are the same as they ever were and they are;
To improve listening skills -classroom ,individual with high quality audio
To improve speaking skills -individual, paired, groups
To present and demonstrate language skills -both screen and voice in seconds
To monitor and guide students -discrete monitoring and intervention as required
Empirical evidence from users over many years has shown that language labs help to; increase the number of students taking languages, attract more boys to study languages, significantly improve the Speaking Test results obtained, encourage peer-assessment and parental involvement
Procedure of the Use of Language Laboratories
A language laboratory can be utilized for teaching or learning through a teacher's console. The functions of a teacher's console are:

a. Staying in Control:
Staying in control includes various activities, like monitoring students' work and activities; locking cursors and keyboards to focus attention on a given task; shutting down, logging off, or restarting student computer sets; etc.
b.Reinforcing Learning:
Teachers can use communication tools that are familiar for their students, such as text messaging or chatting. You can also communicate with them in an engaging way by increasing the chances of interacting with them in your target language. A variety of activities help learners build language. You can review your pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure and conversation.
C. Education using accessible software:
Accessible software is software that teachers feel completely comfortable with in their classroom activities. A user-friendly, activity-driven interface is used. This interface does not require any special teaching technology knowledge.
D. Ensure the best learning outcomes:
The best learning outcomes are enhanced by the presence of language learning software. Language learning software gives learners access to resources for independent or supplemental learning and study. This unique on-demand learning
This feature creates additional learning opportunities and enhances classroom activities. You will have the opportunity to take the test individually, practice the test and get your results.
language lab is practical
Learning a new language by studying theory alone is not enough to guarantee language learning success. In the Language Lab, learning the four most important language skills is practiced in a fun and interactive way.
listening, speaking, reading and writing. The student learns more thoroughly in the language lab and instead spends more class time achieving her three main goals:
-self study:
Students receive a self-directed, systematic and progressive education in order to achieve the goals and objectives set by schools and educational institutions.
-For free:
The Language Lab allows students to reinforce what they have learned in class by putting it into practice through interactive activities.

-Monitoring and evaluation:
Teachers can track each student's progress and receive reports on strengths and weaknesses to better customize classroom activities. A. Students can learn faster in the Language Lab.
Practice leads to successful language learning! Interactive courses at Language Labs help students learn much faster than in a regular classroom. The Classroom Language Network methodology uses a progressive model to promote natural learning, allowing students to learn various language concepts in an intuitive way. Language labs motivate students to better retain and progress in their language.
B. Teachers play a more important role in language labs
There is a great deal of concern in the education community that technology will replace the role of the teacher, making the job completely obsolete. Language Lab debunks this myth by providing teaching aids that only facilitate, rather than compete with, the teacher's role. That way teachers can focus on the important parts of the course instead of wasting time explaining everything. The structure of language practice also makes it easier for teachers to prepare lessons, enabling them to do so in less time and with a wider range of interactive resources
