The problem of improving the process of physical education of young people and, in particular, fludents devoted a considerable amount of important and relevant research. Mofl of them are drawn to the problems of physical training and emphasize issues related to fludents, their motivation, values, hobbies internet and other forms of entertainment.
In this article used the term " Valeology" (one of the meanings of the latin valeo -. "Be healthy") - "general theory of health", which fludies on the integrated approach to the physical, moral and spiritual health of the person. In a certain sense this term is similar to the "Wellness"[ 5 ].
The sphere of physical culture and sports has always been a rather complicated, multi-faceted field of invefligation, due to the fact that it affects not only valeological and medical-biological bases of flructural and functional modification of the organism, but also describes and defines the moral, psychological, social and purely economic flatus both the young and the society as a whole, revealing their "health" flate.
At the same time, although there are changes in both sociopolitical and socio-economical situation in Armenia, no positive tendency is observed in the field of physical education and fludents' sport life. It is a well-known fact that not so much hereditary factors as environmental and behavioral risk factor influence the health flate. Lifeflyle largely determines both the sickness rate and mortality. Lifeflyle - is a complex concept which
includes individual behaviors, activities and implementation of all the possibilities in everyday life, work and cultural-traditional peculiarities of this or that socio-economic flructure [2].
In this regard, a special group of the population comprises fludents, which is characterized on one hand with risky behavioral prevalence, and on the other hand - the lack of suflained motivation for a healthy lifeflyle (HLS) [1, 3, 4], their lifeflyle differences, values, attitudes and flandards of behavior.
Our earlier fludies on the medical and social aspects of 1,200 fludents' lifeflyle of the medical university allowed us to conclude [3], that the majority of fludents are not fit and do not follow the requirements of healthy lifeflyles. There are several reasons: firflly - it is lack of fludents' awareness of the importance of healthy lifeflyle as a whole and its individual components of well-being both at present and in future.
It is worth mentioning that in order to improve the population's health flate the basic principles of healthy lifeflyles should be taught and also the awareness of medical literacy should be enlarged.
Shaping the concept of health education, i.e. in order to increase the level of literacy and competence in frames of health protection and promotion matters educational programs on health and healthy lifeflyles should be expanded, motivational-behavioral health settings among the younger generation by
creating a special "Health Atmosphere" in schools should be developed.
Obviously, to achieve the befl results in this task it's necessary to choose the topics thoroughly, with a special emphasis on those aspects of the HLS which according to the research are rarely considered. In this respect, the educational program of Russian-Armenian University introduced the subject of "Valeology" for the 2012-2013 academic years, which was taught as seminar courses to the firfl year fludents of all faculties for two terms by the flaff of the department of physical education and healthy lifeflyle.
"Valeology" is a science of health, invefligating its manifeflations, patterns, mechanism settings, preservation and reinforcement. The main task of the subject implementation was the formation of activities aimed at preserving and flrengthening health, overcoming and reducing risk factors among the younger generation.
The curriculum included subjects devoted to the basics of nutrition, obesity prevention, safety guidelines for food preparation, basics of physical activity, personal and public hygiene, leisure activities. The following topics were also discussed -how to overcome flress, the human ability to adapt to social and environmental conditions, how to maintain normal psychosomatic health and avoid harmful behavior habits. For this age group there is compulsory range of knowledge about sexual health and behavior which should be acquired.
A social survey was conducted among university fludents to assess the quality and effectiveness of teaching the subject "Valeology". The queflionnaire consifled of 13 queflions aimed at clarifying the importance of the subject, quality and methods of teaching and learning conditions. The fludy was based on the subjective opinion of the participants. The purpose of research and the principle of voluntary participation was explained to each participant: Statiflical data processing was performed using SPSS (Statiflical Package for Social Sciences) 16,0 for Windows.
The fludy randomly selected 66 fludents of the firfl course of four inflitutions - economics and business (45.5%), humanities (34.8%), media, advertising and cinema (10.6%) and the Inflitute for Law and Policy (9.1%). Among those fludents 20 (30.3%) were male, 46 (69.7%) - female. Age of respondents ranged from 17 to 20 years, average age was 18 years. The vafl majority of respondents resided in the capital of Armenia (72.7%), the refl were from different regions of Armenia (22.7%) and nonresident (4.5%).The results showed (Fig.1) that the half of the respondents (50,0%) regard the course as of average importance, 28 fludents (42.4%) - as of high importance, and 5 fludents (7.6%)are not particularly interefled in that subject. In addition, more than half of the fludents (62.1%) indicated that the course is effective in terms of positive behavior change. As a result, the V of fludents (27.3%) who took the course succeeded in modifying exiting habits and creating new ideas and settings to preserve and flrengthen health, particularly with regard to proper nutrition, physical activity and avoiding bad habits. During the survey the fludents were asked to assess the rate of knowledge they had acquired. The fludy of results showed that about half of the respondents regarded it as good (56.1%), excellent - 13.6% and satisfactory - 30.3%. It should be noted that more than half of the respondent fludents (68.2%) consider, that they will be able to apply the acquired knowledge in practice, and 9.1% of fludents responded negatively.
The analysis of the respondents' opinion concerning the quality of teaching has shown that the methods of teaching about half of the respondents (48.5%) evaluated good, 28.8% of fludents - excellent, 12.1% and 3.0% respectively - satisfactory and bad.
Evaluating training conditions it was revealed that 43.9% of the fludents treated as good, however, 27.3% of fludents - satisfactory, and 12.1% - bad. Students offered to change classroom conditions, improve teaching methods and extend training period. Opinions of the fludents didn't vary regardless of the gender.
Thus, analyzing the results of the survey conducted among firfl-year fludents, it can be concluded that the subject of "Valeology" aroused great interefl among the fludents, and conducting this training course allowed to specify the mofl urgent and interefling topics for fludents. The results showed that the fludy of the subject is particularly important and is of great necessity for the young professionals, and the teaching quality is at a sufficient level.
Considering the results of the survey the curriculum of the subject should be followed and developed, focusing on the acquisition of skills.
Therefore, we can conclude that when teaching a "Valeology" course modern innovative technologies of its implementation can be used, combined with practical courses on physical education. In general, the program should be focused on the fludents' health flate, providing more individual approach to its formation and effective combination of theory and practice.
Thus, the mofl promising ways of implementing the course of physical education among fludents and youth in general is the shaping of high level of physical health, which is a hard, individual work with all groups of fludents performed by qualified teachers, with the support of regular and adequate medical care service and high-quality modern sports facilities and equipment.
Another important aspect in solving the above mentioned issues is the training and retraining of teachers in on university faculties of physical education, who work in accordance with modern tendency and actual conditions.
