1 INTRODUCTION

Nowadays teaching English language to student is more easy than past. Why? Of course, in the past, students were taught by any kind of technologies. Todays day, multimedia technologies has become increasingly prevalent in education, revolutionizing the way subjects are taught and learned. English language education, in particular, has benefited greatly from the incorporation of multimedia tools, offering a dynamic and interactive learning experience for students of all ages. From videos and audio recordings to interactive websites and educational apps, the possibilities are endless when it comes to leveraging multimedia in English lessons.

2 Methods

Еnhancing Engagement and Interaction

Engagement is a version or form that has been improved or made better than some other standard form.

Interaction is defined as a process by which two or more things have an effect on each other and work together.

One of the primary advantages of utilizing multimedia technologies in English lessons is the ability to enhance student engagement and interaction. Traditional methods of teaching English often rely heavily on textbooks and lectures, which may fail to capture the attention of today's tech-savvy learners. By incorporating multimedia elements such as videos, animations, and interactive games, teachers can create a more immersive learning styles. This not only keeps students actively engaged but also promotes interaction and collaboration among peers, fostering a more dynamic classroom experience. Improving Listening and Speaking Skills Multimedia technologies offer invaluable opportunities for students to practice and improve their listening and speaking skills for example, young

learners can learn foreign language by watching different videos podcats and films. Through the use of audio and video recordings, students can listen to authentic English speech patterns, accents, and intonations, helping them develop their auditory comprehension skills. Additionally, multimedia platforms often provide interactive speaking activities, allowing students to practice pronunciation, fluency, and conversational skills in a supportive environment. This hands-on approach to language learning enables students to gain confidence in their ability to communicate effectively in English.

Facilitating Visual Learning Visual aids have long been recognized as powerful tools for enhancing learning retention and comprehension, and multimedia technologies take this concept to the next level. By incorporating visual elements such as images, diagrams, and infographics into English lessons, teachers can help students better understand complex grammatical structures, vocabulary concepts, and literary themes. Visual representations not only serve to reinforce key concepts but also cater to visual learners who may struggle with purely auditory or textual instruction. Furthermore, multimedia platforms allow for the integration of dynamic visuals, such as animations and virtual reality simulations, which can bring English lessons to life in ways that traditional teaching methods cannot. Promoting Cultural Awareness Аnother significant benefit of using multimedia technologies in English lessons is the opportunity to expose students to diverse cultures and perspectives from around the world. Through multimedia resources such as documentaries, films, and online cultural exchanges, students can gain insights into the customs, traditions, and societal norms of English-speaking countries. This exposure not only enriches

eir understanding of the English language but also promotes cultural awareness, empathy, and global citizenship. By incorporating authentic cultural materials into lessons, teachers can foster a deeper appreciation for the richness and diversity of the English-speaking world among their students Advantages of Using Multimedia Tools Technology also makes teaching more engaging and productive because it attracts language learners. Multimedia technology is used in the language classroom to enhance teaching content and make the best use of class time. Multimedia technology disrupts the traditional teacher-centered teaching method and improves the teaching efficiency of teachers. This allows English teachers to take full advantage of multimedia technology to teach English in foreign countries. The advantages of using multimedia technology in the English classroom include:

• •Multimedia technology uses sound, visuals and animation to motivate students to learn English quickly and effectively.

• •It makes it easier for teachers to combine teaching and learning, and it gives students more motivation.

• •It gave students a better understanding of the target language's culture.

• •Multimedia allows students to share information with each other, get involved in class activities, and help them learn the language faster and better.

• •It provides a more realistic learning environment for English language learners and enhances student-teacher interactions.

• •Using multimedia technology in the classroom enhances students 'listening and speaking skills,

However, it is not easy to integrate multimedia technology with conventional teaching as it requires teachers with advanced teaching skills, advanced information technology and excellent language skills. There is no doubt that multimedia is a great way to learn the language, but each method has its drawbacks. The biggest drawback of the multimedia-rich classroom is that you have to choose the material carefully because

• • Provides an environment for language learning by facilitating the exchange of information among learners, as well as between teachers and learners. Disadvantages of Using Multimedia Tools

Disadvantages of Using Multimedia Tools

In addition to the advantages of multimedia in teaching, there are also many disadvantages of using multimedia technology for English language teaching. Below are some of the disadvantages of using multimedia tools for teaching English. It lacks teacher-student communication. It is essential that there should be many opportunities for communication in the language classes.

• •Students' logical thinking is lost. Multimedia technology makes it easy for students to understand the content, but it also limits their abstract thinking. As a result, their logical thinking gets lost.

• •It lacks real-time language teaching. Real-time language teaching involves a

• lot of discussion based on questions and answers between the teacher and the student. The teacher asks questions in real-time and directs the student to think and develop the ability to provide the answers.

• •It requires to choose the material very carefully according to the needs of the students.

3 Conclusion and Recommendations Multimedia-supported teaching offers a new way of teaching to overcome the challenges of conventional classroom teaching. It is an essential approach to improve English teaching resources so that students can learn to listen, speak, read, write, and translate while developing their creative and critical thinking of the needs of the students. Additionally, you have to prepare earlier than usual because sometimes the language used, the content, or even the level of difficulty can be inappropriate. In the end, we may think that learning a new language is like learning how the culture of that language works. And for that, multimedia is the best way to make the students aware of the

cultural environment so that they can integrate themselves and utilize a multicultural repertoire.

To sum up, the use of multimedia technology can completely enhance the student's thinking and practical language abilities. This will guarantee and maximize the outcome of the English language teaching. Although there are some drawbacks to using multimedia technology in the classroom, it can be used in many English language teaching classes. In general, nonnative English as language teachers will be able to teach English more effectively
