Terminology is an important integral part of the language of science and scientific literature. Hippocrates is considered the "father" of European scientific medicine. His works, which have partially reached our time, laid the foundation for the terminology of scientific medicine. Today we call Latin a "dead language" because it has ceased to be the language of everyday communication. But in speech we meet Latinisms at every step: doctor, lecture, academy, university, institute, nature, history, statue, etc. There is a similarity with the following: new - novus, house - domus, mother - mater, see - videre, no - nullus. In addition, the system of changing words (conjugation, conjugation) is the same in both Russian and Latin.
Today, Latin and Greek are the main sources for creating new terms and improving existing ones. Unlike everyday concepts, this term refers to a short and concise concept used in science, technology and art. Thanks to the Latin language, the terminology received the status of an international medical language. You cannot get a medical education without mastering the basics of Latin. The study of Latin is of great importance in the preparation of a middle-level medical specialist, because it helps to consciously acquire and understand the medical terms of Latin-Greek origin, get to know them and use them in their practice.
Modern medical terminology is one of the most complex terminological systems. The total number of medical terms is unknown - according to experts, the terminological fund of modern medicine exceeds 500 thousand medical terms. Even simply memorizing them has not yet been possible for anyone, therefore, in Latin, as in other languages, terms from certain elements cannot be implemented without a system and rules of word formation. If you master these rules, you can even learn to understand new terms.
Latin is currently used as an international scientific language in a number of biomedical sciences and nomenclatures studied and used by doctors and medical professionals around the world. Therefore, the knowledge, principles of education and understanding of the Latin language are absolutely essential for any professional working in the medical field. In all medical sciences: anatomy, histology, embryology, microbiology, microbiology, pathological anatomy and clinical sciences, as well as in pharmacology, this tradition of nomination has never been broken and continues to this day.

Instead of conclusions and suggestions, we can emphasize that the peculiarity of sociolinguistics in the second half of the 20th century is synchronic dominance in terminology, which is the analysis of the relations between the elements of the language structure and the elements of the society structure. includes In the works of the previous period, the evolution of the language is connected with the development of the society, that is, the extensive study of terminology promotes the development of social life.
