Abstract. One of the relevant and promising areas in drug technology is the development of periodontal dental phytofilms based on polymers. This dosage form, ^ compared with traditional ones, has a number of advantages: pronounced bioavailability, prolonged action, accuracy of dosing of the active substance, significantly reduces treatment time, is better tolerated by patients and reduces the number of procedures. In dentistry, they solve the following problems: strengthening and improving the protective properties of the gums, reducing inflammatory diseases of the oral mucosa and reducing tooth decay.
To solve these problems, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial agents of plant origin are often used in the form of decoctions, tinctures and lotions. Currently, a promising anti-inflammatory herbal remedy is sage. In official medicine, sage is best known for its anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and antioxidant properties.
Key words: anti-inflammatory agents, antimicrobial agents, periodontal dental phytofilms.
Research material and methods. In order to obtain dental films based on water extraction of sage, the effect of various film-forming polymers (MC, Na-KMC, gelatin, PVP) on the physico-mechanical properties of dental films was studied.
The aim of this work was to develop the composition and technology of dental films for the treatment of inflammatory periodontal diseases, which have wound healing and antimicrobial effects. The objects of research were selected aqueous extraction of sage and chlorhexidine drug with antiseptic and disinfectant properties. As the basis of the drug, high molecular weight compounds were used: Na-KMC, polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), gelatin and their combinations with each other.
Results. During the experiment, 5 compositions of the film masses were studied, of which the films were obtained by pouring onto glass substrates and then

drying them at a temperature of 25-30°C. The formed films were studied by the following indicators: appearance, pH of an aqueous solution, dissolution time, moisture, and thickness.
Conclusions. As a result of experimental studies on the creation of medicinal dental films based on products of natural origin, it was possible to develop optimal compositions of therapeutic and prophylactic agents. The obtained dental films allow us to recommend for the treatment and prevention of oral mucous membranes.
