ABSTRACT
The article considers the advantages of distance learning form of studying foreign language. The methods of organization of the educational process using a distance learning form is identified and substantiated. The article analyzes the effective organization of the educational process at comprehensive school using a distance learning form.
Keywords: distance learning; foreign language; school; educational.
Introduction
The informatization of society requires a person to have such qualities as the ability to make decision and be responsible for them, to have critical thinking and skills to work with large amount of information, the ability to quickly navigate the information space, self-study throughout life. The main result of the activity of an educational institution should not be a system of knowledge, skills and abilities in itself, but a set of key competencies, among which ICT competence occupies an important place.
At the same time, the modern educational system is required to provide an opportunity to choose an individual learning trajectory in the educational space for each school student, depending on his personal preferences, individual characteristics, and it is also important to provide a personality-oriented approach in the conditions of collective assimilation of knowledge.
Research materials and methods
The school system is not able to fulfill these tasks and fails not so much with regard to the content of education as the form of organization of training. The implementation of distance learning technologies into school education will contribute to obtaining a qualitatively new educational product. A significant expansion of the information educational environment, an increase in the possibility of communication between school students and teachers with colleagues from other
schools and countries, access to global information resources - all this contributes to increasing school students' motivation to study, strengthening their creative self-realization, mastering the skills of working with ICT.
The effective use of distance learning in school education is possible only if the relevant technologies are not an add-on to the existing system of education, but are reasonably and harmoniously integrated into this process, providing new opportunities for both teachers and school students. However, it can be noted that didactically and methodically developed pedagogical technologies for integrating distance learning into the traditional educational system have not been fully developed. Today, many educational institutions that have both computer classes based on local networks and Internet access are not able to fully use the rich capabilities of the global network, because they do not have enough knowledge of the technology of organizing distance learning, methods of solving educational problems using the Internet.
The implementation of distance learning form is also very promising in terms of the wider use of the school student component, training according to individual programs, which has recently become increasingly widespread in our schools, especially in high school. It is becoming increasingly obvious that the classroom system as it exists in our school is a brake on
the intellectual development of the school student. 6-7 lessons of 45 minutes, during which the school student must delve into the essence of each new knowledge, and then the same 6-7 homework assignments leave no chance for deepening into the studied material, more serious research of the problem, independent search for information to solve the problem, reasoning about the information found, i.e. the main goal of modern education is the formation of the ability to work with information.
The introduction of distance learning form shows that these well-structured and well-founded principles are not enough for distance learning. The empirical experience of domestic and foreign distance learning and the research conducted to study the structure of distance learning activities and the content of training allowed us to formulate specific principles inherent in the distance learning system. They form the conceptual foundation of distance learning. Distance learning is based on two principles: free access, i.e. the right of everyone, without entrance tests, to start studying and get secondary or higher education; distance learning, i.e. learning with minimal contact with a teacher, with an emphasis on independent work.
Distance learning form is a new organization of the educational process based on the principle of independent learning of the student. The learning environment is characterized by the fact that students are mostly, and often completely, distant from the teacher in space and time, at the same time they have the opportunity at any time to maintain a dialogue using telecommunications. Distance learning is a set of information technologies that ensure the delivery of the main volume of the studied material to students, interactive interaction between students and teachers in the learning process, providing students with the opportunity to work independently on mastering the studied educational material, as well as in the learning process [1].
As the studies showed, a significant proportion of the population currently has a sufficient level of technical equipment for the consumption of educational services of high tech distance learning, including based on Internet technologies, which can provide maximum interactivity and therefore are most preferable for the consumer market. An indispensable condition for the effective use of these technological capabilities is high-quality content that provides support for the process of distance learning and educational process management [2].
One of the promising directions of the development of distance learning is the interpenetration of information technology ideas and advanced pedagogical ideas and approaches. In modern pedagogical concepts, learning ceases to be considered only as a process of transferring knowledge from a teacher to a student. The defining trend of modern education is the transition to a personality-oriented education system.
Modern means of telecommunications in distance learning provide a more interactive way of learning. Students and teacher's contacts are interactive.
In order to study effectively in the system of distance education, some old knowledge and hardware and technical support are needed.
It is necessary to have not only a computer with Internet access, but also to have minimal network skills. Therefore, in order to study effectively, preliminary training is necessary.
Due to the interactive style of communication and operational communication in distance learning, it is possible to individualize the learning process. The teacher, depending on the student 's success , can apply flexible, individual teaching methods, offer him additional, student-oriented blocks of educational materials, links to information resources. [3].
Distance learning is a new stage of distance learning, which provides the use of information technologies based on the use of personal computers, video and audio equipment, space and fiber-optic technology. Distance learning is an educational process organized on certain topics, academic disciplines, providing for an active exchange of information between students and the teacher, as well as between students themselves, and using to the maximum extent modern means of new information technologies (audiovisual means, personal computers, telecommunications).
With distance learning form, there is no need to have contact with the teacher face to face, you can organize it online.
In case of distance learning form, a technical solution is selected beforehand, teachers and students are provided with access to computer equipment, the availability of the necessary software and service, as well as means of communication. The teaching staff and the school administration are tasked with forming an information and educational environment (hereinafter referred to as the IOS) of the school, which involves the network interaction of all participants in the educational process (administration, teachers, students). The school's IOS is an information space saturated with technologies, services and resources.
In distance learning form, the deadlines for completing tasks are fixed, that is, the exact date of completion is in the schedule and only until that day (and hour) can the task be transferred. The teacher has the right not to accept overdue assignments.
Assessment of student performance can be carried out online. Various tasks, testing, as well as individual and group projects can be carried out online. Testing can also be carried out online. The final assessment - a test or an exam - can also be conducted online.
It should be noted several advantages that are important for students with distant learning. These advantages relate to the part of distance learning that takes place with the help of Internet technologies.
Computer part of distance learning:
- animates the material and allows the student to "communicate" with it;
- gives more interactivity and stimulates active learning;
- clearly demonstrates some ideas that are difficult to explain in class or just in the text;
- allows you to look inside the studied processes through various visions;
- develops self-learning and self-control skills;
- allows students to try difficult situations that cannot be presented in another format (paper), but only on the basis of ICT technologies. Consequently, implementation of distance learning is more active on the part of the student and gives him more interesting learning opportunities.
Distance learning of foreign languages has its own specifics, due to the fact that it involves learning various types of speech activity. Naturally, for teaching such types of speech activity as reading and writing, you can largely limit yourself to the network course, since the features of these types of speech activity do not require voluminous graphics and even a significant volume of sound accompaniment. Nevertheless, when teaching pronunciation, speech and listening, it is not possible to limit oneself to text files only, it is necessary to rely on sound accompaniment, as well as creating various situations that stimulate the student's verbal statements, i.e. there is a need for reliance on illustrative material. Using such material in network courses, as we already know, is technically quite possible, but practically, given the real situation, it is still quite problematic due to the large amount of memory that such files require [4]
Conclusion
Distance learning makes it possible to improve the quality of education through the widespread use of electronic educational resources and an increase in the
share of independent mastering of the material, which will ensure the development of such qualities as independence, responsibility, organization and the ability to really assess their strength and make informed decisions.
The use of distance learning technologies in teaching school students will allow individualization of learning process. The role of a teacher is to organize individual and collective work of school students, to identify and promptly solve problems in teaching school students.
