The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has led to a substantial deterioration in the health of the global population. Among COVID-19 survivors, disease-related complications can be observed in the short and long-term. These include, but not limited to, pulmonary, cardiovascular, and neurological complications. The pandemic also has affected mental health of the global population. Social risk factors and pandemic stressors are contributors of this negative outcome [1]. Furthermore, disruptions in services are one of the major challenges experienced by patients, including those with chronic health conditions and disabilities [2].

To combat the pandemic, proper management of the vaccination campaign is essential. During the last year, global research and development components have come together to develop novel technologies, diagnostic tools, treatments, and vaccines [3]. With this extreme effort, researchers have developed several vaccines against severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). COVID-19 vaccination is one of the largest public health campaigns. Numerous factors such

as logistic capacity and healthcare infrastructure influence COVID-19 vaccine rollout [4]. The effective vaccination is the way for achieving herd immunity and overcoming this pandemic. During the vaccination, it is still important to continue wearing masks and social distancing [5].

The COVID-19 pandemic has a great impact on population health. Global research and development offers several COVID-19 vaccines. A better world would be possible through the effective and safe vaccination.
