The use of monolithic structures gives buildings and structures an architectural charm and a luxurious look.

The use of new and improved types of concrete and reinforced concrete structures, the quality repair of expired structures on the basis of scientific and technical achievements are among the main priorities in the construction of infrastructure facilities of the Republic.

At present, great attention is paid to monolithic concrete structures in housing and capital construction. The use of monolithic structures gives buildings and structures an architectural charm and a luxurious look.

However, a specific disadvantage of monolithic concrete and reinforced concrete structures is the working joints in them. They are the weakest element, determining the strength, durability and reliability of the structures.

The working seam is the layer formed at the boundaries of the joints of the pre-

It occurs when new concrete is laid on top of a previously hardened concrete layer. The tensile strength of new concrete with old concrete is much lower than that of monolithic concrete - 25-30%. At the same time, working joints differ from solid concrete not only in terms of strength, but also in other parameters related to the porous structure - water permeability, frost resistance and other properties. In addition, poorly executed working seams spoil the structure, and in some cases the appearance of the building facade.

Numerous scientific studies have been conducted on the study of working joints and the creation of effective methods of technological solutions that allow the old and new concrete layers to work together in it. However, the analysis of the published literature showed that this issue has not been fully studied, and the opinions and conclusions expressed in them contradict each other. In particular, some literature suggests that the properties of concrete layers in working joints depend on the properties of the cement used in the old concrete, as well as the ambient temperature, that the new concrete layer should be laid before the start of the previous concrete blowing period.
