Nonetheless, some grammatical rules are so essential that it is imperative for students to comprehend them, or else they run the risk of committing mistakes that would hinder communication and be impossible for the teacher to fix. There is also the argument that some countries do not expose their population to the language enough, which supports the need to teach grammar. The second question, which asks how important grammatical proficiency is for English language teachers, has two answers provided by the study. For the first reason, it is essential for the instructor to possess thorough knowledge of all grammatical nuances because most students want their lecturers to do so. In order to meet the demands of their students, teachers must maintain their knowledge. The third topic covered in the article is the value of the teacher having a grasp of the students' grammar, which is thought to be crucial for more rapidly identifying the students' problems. Although there is still disagreement on grammar's role in language instruction, many English language teachers and experts have advocated using it as a basic subject for learning English in an ELT context. In terms of language instruction, many English language teachers continue to employ the grammar translation strategy. Speaking and listening skills receive little to no attention in EFL institutions from nations like Iran, the Arab world, and Germany, where grammar is usually taught deductively. Grammar can be taught in a variety of ways, including inductive, deductive, focusing on form or meaning, among others. The two approaches to teaching grammar—deductive and inductive—are first described in this section. The logical method of teaching grammar presents learners with grammatical principles first, followed by examples that clarify the rules. As a result, the rules are first remembered by the students, who then practice them using extra examples to help them comprehend and apply the ideas. For instance, an English teacher in a school would instruct students on "the present tense" in English. The teacher starts off by explaining the "the present tense" rule: "the present tense" is used to indicate that an action is now in progress. He can speak English with ease, for example. We now go back to the logical approach to grammar training that was used for languages spoken all across the world.

All in all, the importance of grammar in English language instruction is a topic of debate. Numerous academics assert that teaching English in ELT environments involves a functional understanding of grammar. It's crucial to understand English's strict grammatical rules, they continued. The grammar teaching methods that have been discussed within the confines of this condensed article, such as inductive and deductive reasoning, focus on form, focus on meaning, and even implicit and explicit knowledge, can be seen as essential components in English language learning across the globe.
