INTRODUCTION

"The vocabulary of William Shakespeare, according to researchers, is 12,000 words. The vocabulary of a Negro from the cannibal tribe "Mumbo-Jumbo" is 300 words. Ellochka Shchukina easily and freely managed thirty..." [1]. A rich vocabulary in any language indicates the level of intellectual development of a person. People with a rich vocabulary are considered smart, creative, and more successful. Indeed, people with a rich vocabulary get a job faster, easier and more successful they are moving up the career ladder, and this can be fully attributed to both competence in this area in relation to their native language and to the foreign language being studied.

METHODOLOGY

As T. S. Komarova points out, "vocabulary replenishment has a positive effect on the formation of the grammatical structure of oral speech, and during school education helps to master the rules of spelling prepositions and adverbs" [2, p.154]. "As a result of a study conducted by a joint American-Brazilian group, interesting results were revealed. For example, in the following the graph shows how the vocabulary increases with age among native speakers (in this case, English). Perhaps, students are more in need of training that would help them master new vocabulary and develop skills that would provide an opportunity to deepen their knowledge. In order to help the student, it is necessary to understand what is an obstacle in the assimilation of new words. To enrich your vocabulary, you need to overcome 4 main obstacles in the process of learning new words:

1. The size of the task. The number of words that should be learned is incredibly huge. Therefore, it is not possible for everyone to learn 100 words at a time and it is very difficult. Therefore, it should be presented little by little, but every day to memorize 4-5 words (it is permissible and more).

2. The difference between spoken and written English. The words of written English (especially the literary language that students find in textbooks and in other books of the school curriculum) are markedly different from spoken English, not to mention the spoken language. Students who study English as a foreign language, as well as those for whom English is their native language, rarely use literary language in everyday life.

3. Limited information provided in the sources, giving information about words. Dictionaries do not always provide useful information about a word. A good dictionary should not only give a translation of a word, give several meanings of the translation, but also show by example how to use a particular word correctly. Unfortunately, not all dictionaries provide clear and accurate information, and therefore English language learners find them uninformative and deceptive. If the student uses a bilingual dictionary, he / she it will be easier to understand the meaning of the translation, since such dictionaries offer many translation options, but it is harder to remember all the meanings of this word. And if a bilingual dictionary offers only one translation option, then the probability of correct translation, understanding of the task, the sentence is very small, which can serve as a negative motivation in learning a foreign language in general and in mastering the vocabulary in particular. In our opinion, the use of an explanatory dictionary is the best alternative for a student with an advanced level of knowledge of the English language.

4. Difficulties of using words. Knowing a word means not only knowing the translation of a word or memorizing dictionary definitions by heart. Even if the student knows the translation and definition of the word, this still does not mean anything, since many teachers have faced such a problem: the student knows the translation of the word, but cannot understand the essence of the sentence. Also, this does not give any guarantee, that he will be able to use these words independently when performing written work or in oral speech. It is obvious that only the development of a large number of variants presented in literary texts makes it possible to perceive the full meaning of words.

DISCUSSION

Some techniques and methods of increasing vocabulary.

Reading. Reading books, magazines, newspapers, etc. should begin with those books that are easier to understand and contain information about the interests of students in accordance with their age, hobbies, etc. Then gradually increase the complexity of the texts to be read. If there are phrases or statements in the book that students like, they should be read aloud several times, written out in notebooks specially designated for this purpose. If students read the statement out loud, they will have a better chance of remembering it better. After that, it is recommended to use this

statement in his speech as often as possible, so that it is fixed in the memory and becomes familiar to the speech of students.

You should pay attention to the turn in which the word is used. The more students know about a word, the faster and better they will remember it. Students should also pay attention to how it is used with other words, whether it always agrees with other words. This will immediately affect the beauty of speech.

RESULTS

Some recommendations for students on the development of vocabulary. Communicate with different people. In communication, there is always an exchange information. During communication, we replenish our vocabulary from the arsenal of the interlocutor, there is a word exchange between them.

Write it down. Try to rewrite some story, article, chapter from your favorite book. Try replacing words with synonyms. If you didn't know a synonym for a particular word, write it down in your notebook.

CONCLUSION

Everyone is aware and understands the importance of constantly enriching the vocabulary this is why every teacher tries to find interesting materials, exercises, programs, devices, websites for the lesson, for preparing homework. Indeed, the requirements for the actions necessary to enrich the vocabulary are not so difficult to fulfill. If you spend 30 minutes every day on classes using the above techniques, students, and therefore the teacher, will succeed in mastering the vocabulary.
