Abstract: the article discusses the main aspects and methods of information technology implementation in the education process. This work also provides recommendations to students and pupils on working with innovations in education.

Keywords: information technology, globalization, education, distance learning.

With the rapid development of devices and computer technology, information technology has reached a new level. They were able to influence the acceleration of the process of globalization, which brings people together around the world and promotes equal opportunities for everyone. Today it is difficult to imagine life without information technologies, because they are used without exaggeration in any sphere of life.

The development of IT for education has become especially significant, because new technologies have been able to provide the absolute majority of the world's population with the opportunity to study for free and conveniently from anywhere in the world, as well as access to free and comprehensive information and its exchange.

What is information technology?

Information technologies are the processes of creating, transmitting, storing and perceiving information, as well as methods and methods of implementing these processes. Most people associate the concept of information technology with computer technology, for which there is a good reason: with the advent of computer technology, IT began to develop much faster and faster.

The concept of information technology has already become synonymous with the concepts of computer and computer network. Nevertheless, it is impossible to limit the use of the IT concept to computers alone.

What are information technology tools?

The means of information technology are all means of human activity used to implement production processes and meet the non-productive needs of society. The means of information technology are all means of human activity used to implement production processes and meet the non-productive needs of society.

In simple words, these are all those types of computer equipment that a person needs to search for and transmit information. With their help, these tasks can be carried out much easier and faster.

Information technology tools are conditionally divided into three different subspecies:

• organizational - engineering, design and copying equipment;

• communication - equipment close to everyone in the form of phones, tablets, players, radios, computers, fax machines and many others;

• computing - automated means of processing data and information.

Most often, the average person uses the means included in the second category, therefore, in the article, information technology refers specifically to communication information technology.

Application of information technologies in education: why it is necessary?

The use of information technologies in education today is necessary for everyone, without exception, involved or just in contact with the educational process. This applies to students, their parents, teachers and the entire working staff of any educational institution [1].

Here are just some possible advantages of using information technologies that contribute to greater convenience and accessibility of the educational and work process, as well as their more efficient organization:

• electronic materials online;

• the ability to quickly access educational information;

• programmed training;

• distance learning;

• electronic databases containing estimates, schedules, reminders;

• parents' access to the child's assessments and the possibility of regular monitoring;

• the possibility of carrying out different types of control work for pupils and students;

• the possibility of conducting psychological and pedagogical testing for teachers;

• possibility of financial settlements;

• equal access of all to information and information resources;

• the ability to quickly and timely notify all students and employees of educational institutions about important news and emergency events;

• using expert control systems;

• concentration of all necessary information about the institution in one database.

The use of information technologies qualitatively increases the level of organization of the educational process. Their use brings especially tangible benefits to the main participants in this process - teachers and students.

The benefits of IT for the student

For students, information technology opens up a whole world of opportunities and ways to learn how, where, when, how much, with whom and what they just want. Moreover, learning with the help of information technology can be both an addition to the knowledge gained at school or university, and an independent way of getting an education.

Some universities, such as Ualikhanov University of Kokshetau in Kazakhstan , today offer programs that allow you not only to enrich yourself with knowledge online, but even to get an official diploma, no worse than what you received during a regular visit to the university.

The very first and obvious advantage of using information technology is the availability of electronic sources. Now you can find anything on the web in a matter of seconds, which greatly facilitates the search for information and preparation for classes. In addition, many students today are switching to "taking notes" of university lectures in electronic format. With proper printing speed, using this method, you can have time to write down more information and avoid problems with illegible handwriting or confusion between pages of lecture notes. The advantage is that with this method, it will take much less time to prepare for classes or exams, because to search for specific information, you can do a key search through the text of the document instead of scrolling through dozens of pages of the summary. In addition, such an electronic summary can be easily shared with classmates or younger courses [2].

Today, the main part of the exchange of information and discussion of the details of such tasks is carried out with the help of social networks or mail. Nevertheless, technology has moved on. Today, with the help of, for example, Google platforms, you can create a shared document or presentation in the electronic cloud and share them with other people. This is especially important for teamwork, because all people who have access to a document can edit it online at the same time. This allows you to proportionally divide the amount of work and monitor the work of the entire team day by day. There is no need to send the result to each participant again and again after making each edit. In addition, all the changed fragments are visible in the system and, if necessary, you can go back a few steps.

With the help of social networks such as Facebook, Vkontakte, Twitter, Linkedin and others, many mass surveys are being created today, experts in various fields are being found. Some higher education institutions use them to arrange lectures for their students with the most eminent professors. With the development of technology, such lectures have become possible even online if a person cannot come in person due to certain circumstances. In this case, students are given the opportunity in one or another social network to ask all the questions that interest and concern them, which the lecturer will answer later. Thus, an online lecture will become a worthy alternative to a live lecture, because the quality of the transmitted information does not suffer, and feedback between students and the lecturer is provided at the highest level [3].

Both students and other people who want to acquire knowledge in a particular field sign up for courses on the Internet. They are no worse than usual. On the contrary, since not everyone can afford many courses today, and even the best universities in the world, such as Harvard, Cambridge, MIT, Princeton, Stanford, Yale, can take courses online for free, they will gradually become the most popular type of education. They can be found on various blogs, as well as on platforms such as YouTube, TED, Prometheus, EdEra, Edx, Khan Academy, Coursera. There is everything from the intricacies of beading to the formulas of nuclear physics.

Moreover, most of them are aimed at a wide audience, and therefore the material is explained in a simple and understandable language for everyone.
