Abstract. The article is aimed at educating students in the field of environmental education, positively changing their attitude towards the environment and nature, preserving nature, mitigating current global environmental problems and their negative consequences, including water shortages, global climate change and its regional impact on climate and nature. In addition, students, future teachers talk about environmental competence, environmental protection.

In order to improve the ecology of Uzbekistan, to improve the economic situation in our country, to prevent environmental degradation, we need to restore the ecological culture known to our people in ancient times, thoroughly study history and look for opportunities to use it in the current conditions. The change in the biosphere under the influence of human activity is gaining momentum. As a result of such influence or attitude of mankind to natural processes, environmental problems in the middle of the 20th century were greatly exacerbated. An environmental problem refers to the impact that a person has on nature.

As a result of the development of human civilization and its ever-deeper penetration into the bosom of nature, the situation has changed radically. Not to mention the primitive Pure Nature today. Because the forests on Earth were sheared, large areas were taken for farming purposes, fertilized with drugs, fresh air and nature were polluted with all kinds of waste and gases. In addition, floods, forest fat, dust storms and other natural processes occur in nature. All this undermines the natural balance of nature.

On October 8, 2019, the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan approved the concept of development of the higher education system until 2030 to carry out the tasks set out in the framework of approval, [1] as well as the concept of development of environmental education in the Republic of Uzbekistan by the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers [2].

Priorities for this concept include:

- to establish the basic principles of the development of environmental education in the system of continuing education, to consistently apply them to the educational process in stages and, on this basis, to a new level the effectiveness of environmental education;

- improvement of educational programs based on existing environmental problems and tasks to eliminate them;

- strengthening the responsibility of educators in maintaining and rational use of non-renewable sources of Mother Nature in them by focusing their attention on Universal environmental problems;

- development and introduction of effective forms and methods of environmental education;

- creation of a regulatory legal, material and technical and information base that ensures the quality of environmental education, the effectiveness of the personnel training system and the guarantees and priority of sustainable development;

-development of cooperation of competent state bodies and the educational sphere in the field of Ecology and Environmental Protection.

According to this concept, a number of problems have been identified in the educational system that require immediate adoption of appropriate measures. The current state of propaganda, advertising and coverage of environmental problems in educational institutions is in an unsatisfactory state and requires special attention and encouragement. In general, the formation of the interest of the population in the use of nature, responsibility for Environmental Protection and environmental activities also requires an active marketing strategy and aggressive advertising. It is advisable to use urban billboards and billboards that display social rollers, introduce a culture of using ecological bags for products, create a trend and fashion for environmentally friendly consumer goods and services.[3]

To date, the trend towards education has changed, with digital technologies and the internet gradually replacing traditional methods of obtaining information and knowledge. Distance education, online classes appeared. Given that the main contingent of Internet resources and social networks is made up of young people who are creating trends and Trends Today, this mechanism should be used effectively. It is necessary to use social networks in the right direction and focus on the formation of a "green generation"committed to preserving the ecosystem and attentive to the environment.

Humanity has an inevitable impact on the environment. This effect is regularly exacerbated by technological progress, an increase in the number of inhabitants and the volume of production. Thoughtless use of natural resources, lack of conservation and restoration measures, severe environmental pollution lead to hopeless and irreparable catastrophic climate change. Therefore, it is necessary to realize that ensuring environmental safety is a strategically important task for humanity, both socially and politically. Accordingly, maintaining harmony between man and nature in front of the current generation is the main task.

To solve these problems, it is necessary to change the system of values and the attitude towards nature, to form a new thinking and ideology based on the joint development of nature and man. This cannot be done without quality environmental education and upbringing. The development of environmental competence is a purposeful process of developing environmental competence in each person based on knowledge of the laws of functioning of environmental systems, awareness of the uniqueness of nature and human life, active protection of the environment, self-awareness as part of nature, as well as the development of readiness for it.

The development of environmental competence in the process of upbringing is associated with the formation of the most important characteristics of the individual (responsibility, humanity, citizenship), since only a comprehensively developed person can create harmony in relations with the outside world. The result of environmental education can be assessed by the level of development of an individual's ecological culture, since this is the goal, the most important direction of ecological culture.

The development of environmental competence is considered as a process of continuous education and development of an individual, it is aimed at the formation of a system focused on behavior and activity values, ensuring the development of scientific and practical knowledge and skills, a responsible attitude to the surrounding socio-natural environment and health. The process of developing environmental competence directs students to assimilate social and environmental experience, preparing them to best interact with different types of diversity associated with environmental problems.

Consequently, environmental competence is understood as systems of natural culture, which is based on a complex of knowledge about the laws of operation of natural systems, predictability and human intervention in natural relationships, the ability to anticipate the consequences of conscious adherence. The main pedagogical conditions for improving the effectiveness of the development of environmental competence of future teachers:

implementation of a systematic approach to environmental education; taking into account the peculiarities of the attitude to nature;

enriching the content of Independent Education with natural science and humanitarian knowledge of nature;

implementation of the relationship of environmental moral and aesthetic education;integration of students into environmental and pedagogical activities;

preparation of students for the implementation of environmental education and educational

tasks

Thus, the formation of environmental competence of Future Engineers is a purposeful, multi-stage process aimed at educating an environmentally responsible person, which is characterized by the ability to pre-identify the consequences of their actions and behavior, which can reduce their harmful impact on oneself and the natural environment. For this, it is necessary to carry out such psychological and pedagogical actions, as a result of which pedagogical conditions are created that affect the change in the needs and values of a person.
