The article indicates data about the certain features of phrasal verbs that differentiates this unit from other existing units in English. Author states that phrasal verbs are less typical and we as users may use them in formal context. It is also said that due to the usage of phrasal verbs guessing skills can be progressed.

Phrasal verbs are verbs that consist of a verb and a particle (a preposition or adverb) or a verb and two particles (an adverb and a preposition (as in get on with or look forward to). They have been traditionally considered to be the area of Grammar but in modern linguistics they are considered as individual vocabulary items, to be learnt in phrases or chunks, and constituting a subsystem of the English phraseology.

T hey often - but not always - have a one word equivalent. For example, you can come across is a new phrasal verb or you can encounter it. You can pick up a language or you can acquire it. Come across and pick up sound less literary or formal than encounter or acquire. Phrasal verbs are extremely common in English. They are found in a wide variety of contexts. You may have noticed them in songs, for example, in lyrics: of the "Beatles":

I'll get by with a little help from my friends,

Bob Marley's Get up, stand up and Red

Hot Chili Peppers' Knock me down.

You find them in film titles such as, The Empire Strikes Back, Spirited Away, Along Came Polly or Cast Away.

Phrasal verbs are common in less formal English but you will also hear or see and need to use them in more formal contexts [2]. They are considered to be the most difficult part of the English vocabulary to acquire in language learning due to their highly colloquial nature. We should try to think positively about them! And, what is important, we have to try not just to understand them, but also to use them in your own speaking and writing. We should keep an eye open for them whenever we are reading anything in English and make a note of any interesting ones we find, write them down in a complete phrase or a sentence to fix in our mind how they are used.

In learning, be aware that one of the special features of phrasal verbs is that some of them have many different meanings - for example, you can pick something up from the floor, you can pick up a language or bad habits.

This aspect of phrasal verbs brought to the opinion that since the meaning is non compositional and thus unpredictable we should find new methods to reveal their nature. In linguistics phrasal verbs that include a preposition are known as prepositional verbs and phrasal verbs that include a particle - are also known as particle verbs. Additional alternative terms for a phrasal verbs are compound verb, verb-adverb combination, verb-particle construction, two-part verb, and three-part verb (depending on the number of particles), and multi-word verb.

As this study serves as an experiment for research, quite a large number of phrasal verbs were incorporated into the study according to meaningful and explicable, conceptual metaphors Therefore, for real high school English class, it is suggested that phrasal verbs should be taught in an opportunistic way: if there are some phrasal verbs in the lesson the underlying conceptual metaphors should be made explicitly to students. Thus, we can

stimulate a natural process of acquiring experience and gaining insights into the underlying conceptual metaphors in English phrasal verbs [1].

Regarding the four language skills, this study only concluded that students' skills of guessing meaning in context can be improved with the application of conceptual metaphor. Therefore, research on conceptual metaphor in productive skills should be of more concern to see whether it can help integrate phrasal verbs into students' active vocabulary domain.

To a greater extension, for future research, similar studies of other particles would provide a much better understanding of English prepositions in order to extend those findings to the far more complex uses of prepositions and phrasal verbs in everyday communication. Some areas that do seem worthy of further investigation are prepositions, idioms, and collocations.

Abstract: in this article the authors explained how the language learning procedure is difficult due to its some peculiar features. Their investigation is based on phonological system of English. They are sure that English has spoken in different parts of the world, so this fact makes the language difficult. Because, every country using the language implements something new into it. They also claim that English phonology is difficult since the pronunciation and spelling is inconsistent.

Keywords: languages, pronouncing, combinations, exceptions, unique.

English is among the most widely used languages in the world. It is the preferred mode of communication in international travel and global business. However, there are particular nuances in English that may make it difficult to learn for foreigners. These difficulties lay in the fundamental unique characteristics English has against other languages.

Pronunciation is particular in English, as there are no set rules for pronouncing a specific letter. For example, vowels can differ given the slightest change of context. In the sentence, "A farmer's job is to produce, produce" the "o" in the first "produce" is a short vowel while
