There is not unique definition for the notion "text". It is the collection of ideas, thoughts or phenomenon which contains several pieces of writing, just like a paragraph. It is the term by which any composition can not be laid out in a paper. Text is the basic unit of any written or oral theory. Thus it provides supplementary sources for both. There exist particular types of texts. Such as: technical, expository, persuasive and narrative. We learn something new everyday by simply pushing ourselves to read any piece of writing. It doesn't matter whether we know it or not, we learn through different sources like the appliance of social life - media, mobile device and newspaper. The data attached in here are all informative, because they build upon our prior knowledge or feed us with the information we are not aware of. On the basis of logic thinking it is obvious that these four types of texts merely carry the informative texts which in turn not known for us and have the function to draw the readers attention. On the contrary each of them has their own structural and functional aim. For instance, technical texts - structurally this type of text is more formal than others. Its idea is to give the reader the information to perform a task. The features of text are based in an ordinary way, steps, bullets, numbered items, sentences are short, unavailability of humor and specific terminology are the signal words which always come with technical texts. Classified ads, directions, floor plans, recipes are the examples of technical text.
Regarding to expository text it's inspected that the function of this type is to explain or inform. It is non-fiction and always regarded as true. It has structural direction such as -description, comparison - contrast, cause - effect, and problem - solution. The focus throughout the text will be on a specific topic. There are often headings and subheadings. It carries factual information. Biographies, reports, graphs, brochures, newspaper and magazine articles are the examples of such texts. Accounted for the persuasive text it is determined that it says its function by its name. With persuasive text the author tries to convince the reader to adopt a particular opinion or perform a certain action. The writer takes a stand on an issue. There are facts to back up their claims. There is an attempt to solve a problem. The writer often addresses the opposing side. Advertisement, debates, letters, movie critiques and speeches are the examples of persuasive texts [1].
When it comes to narrative text we can help ourselves to stop sharing information about it. Narrative text is often fiction (not true). It tells a story which has strict structural scheme. As we know any piece of writing like a story simply contains the following options -setting, plot, characters, conflict and resolution and theme. A lot were said about their function in the story. One is accountable to control the whole process happening in the story, one is responsible to inform about the process. All of them equally fulfill each other.
Structurally it has beginning, middle and end. Novels, diaries, fables, folk tales, myths, legends, historical fictions, science fictions, plays, mysteries and poetry are the bright illustrations of narrative texts. In this study we would like to highlight the peculiarities of narrative text. Because it has its own alluring feature that merely draws the attention of the reader. Besides that, narrative text is sometimes called as literary text or work of arts. There is no contradiction toward these names. By naming the text in this way we raise the importance of the certain type of text in developing the comprehension skills [1].
How? and Why? Question arises. As we know in literary text the writer uses different structures which enrich the essence of the composition making it understandable. The most active technique of constructing great masterpiece is to use the stylistic devices. These means of expressions play a significant role in bringing to life the work of art in totally different style and approach. The writer uses these devices in order to add some colour. Sometimes most of the readers tend to deter themselves from reading for the dull structure of the text, but in this case they have to go off their usual habit. Because, the boredom is no more active due to the skillful usage of stylistic devices to conceal the original meaning of the sentences and letting reader to think and figure out the meaning on his own. This approach may have a sense of intriguing. Even if the work of the writer is not complete, the reader become curious and he or she is ready to wait the next releases of the certain composition. Of course the reader percepts the work of art easily and stores this in his mind for a long period of time [2].
In common, reading becomes the crucial concept in understanding the language. Not only the language of communication that occurs in our daily life but also, the language of the writer turns out very easy to realize.
