Written speech, like speaking, is a productive type of speech activity. Its features consist in the fact that in written communication there is not only a direct interlocutor, but also intermediate feedback. Consequently, teaching written language requires the student to have a deeper knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and syntax, which are usually more complex than in spoken language. The development of writing skills of students, of course, should be developed on the basis of such psychological abilities as visual and motor memory; attention, logical thinking; hunch, forecasting.

A written speech work distinguished by its completeness, utmost clarity, detailedness, the use of complex syntactic constructions, and well-thought-out design of the text both in stylistic and structurally logical terms.

Writing training determined primarily by communicative goals. In accordance with certain goals, specific educational tasks are set for students: to learn how to draw up a plan, theses, summaries; correctly draw up the introductory, main and final parts of the text; express your thoughts in accordance with the proposed topic, the situation in the specialty. In this case, one should take into account the specifics of the students' future professional activities, as well as the particularities of the language of the legal specialty.

Writing skills are necessary in the future activities of law students, since one of the most important aspects of a lawyer's activity is the ability to compile and execute business documents in all its forms.

In this regard, the need for the formation of professional legal competence - training and development of writing skills, highlighted. In the learning process, the teacher should identify the tasks that the student must complete:

1) Determine the type of text (types, types, genres);

2) To convey to the reader your thoughts (logical organization);

3) Influence the reader, convince, and keep his attention (methods of argumentation, persuasion);

4) cause the reader the desired final reaction.

To perform these tasks, aimed at the formation and development of writing skills, in the classroom on the training module "Written Speech of a Lawyer", students offered tasks that will contribute to the development of their speech and cognitive activity.

In future professional activities, law students should be able to not only record the course and results of events in documents, i.e. not only to narrate, they will also need to be able to express their thoughts in writing with elements of argumentation and persuasion. To achieve this result, the teacher in the classroom must first familiarize students with the theoretical material: what is the text, what are its characteristics, etc. After studying theoretical topics about the text, students can begin practical mastery. The teacher can offer students writing essay reasoning on a given topic.

The reasoning, as you know, is carried out with different goals: to evaluate the subject by the presence of some sign; justify actions or condition; identify the causal relationship of the conditioned phenomena; substantiate or deny something categorically; propose a thesis or a situation according to which they could express their opinion, attitude to something, reason, substantiate, argue and summarize

An equally effective work in the formation and development of writing skills is training in writing annotations and reviews. Since training in writing these documents provided in the curriculum of the module, it is advisable to familiarize yourself with the theoretical knowledge about them.

Since a specialist in a certain field of science writes this document, writing these documents for 1st year students presents certain difficulties. To conduct classes on this topic, an experiment conducted: students had to give an assessment to the training module "Written Speech of a Lawyer", i.e. write a review. Since students studied this module for 1 semester, they coped with the task.

These kinds of tasks activate the work of students, form speech-thinking activity, bring students into independent written expression of their thoughts, and form skills of written legal speech.
