The article is devoted to hybrid processors, namely their advantages and disadvantages. Their essence consists in their improved productivity, because they allow to respond to applications quickly, which is an advantage for people who spend a lot of time at the computer and, in particular, for gamers who spend a lot of time playing games.

Статья посвящена гибридным процессорам, а именно их преимуществам и недостаткам. Их сущность состоит в их улучшенной производительности, т.к. они позволяют быстро отвечать приложениям, что является преимуществом для людей, которые много времени проводят за компьютером и, в частности, для геймеров, которые проводят много времени за играми.

Аннотация: Статья посвящена гибридным процессорам, а именно их преимуществам и недостаткам. Их сущность состоит в их улучшенной производительности, т.к. они позволяют быстро отвечать приложениям, что является преимуществом для людей, которые много времени проводят за компьютером и, в частности, для геймеров, которые проводят много времени за играми.

THE ESSENCE OF HYBRID PROCESSORS

Annotation: The article is devoted to hybrid processors, namely their advantages and disadvantages. Their essence consists in their improved productivity, because they allow to respond to applications quickly, which is an advantage for people who spend a lot of time at the computer and, in particular, for gamers who spend a lot of time playing games.

The relevance of this topic lies in the fact that computers play a huge role in our modern world. Computers are necessary for us both for work and for entertainment, that is, games. Hybrid processors allow to respond to applications quickly due to their improved performance. This is a huge advantage for people who pass a lot of time away in playing computer games: computers with hybrid processors are the most appropriate for them.

Purpose of the survey: to substantiate the need for computers with hybrid processors, in particular, for gamers.

Objectives of the survey:

- to consider the advantages of computers with hybrid processors;

- to identify the disadvantages of computers with hybrid processors;

- to sum up: to prove the need for hybrid processors for gamers.

One of the innovations in the IT technology market was the development and implementation of hybrid processors. This revolutionary technology has allowed to combine in one crystal a central processing unit together with a graphic processor.

As a result, computers assembled using hybrid processors have reduced power consumption, and by reducing the number of components and standardizing the technology, the cost of the system has decreased. Hybrid processors will make it possible to create compact systems suitable for the most tasks, not requiring powerful graphics [1].

And for the first time the idea of APU was voiced by AMD representatives at the same time, almost simultaneously with the purchase of ATI. A year later grandiose plans were already being built: first, the integration of two crystals in one package was prepared, then - on a single chip, but with weak interaction, then - with shared resources, and finally with a complete "alloy" of computational blocks for general and graphic purposes [2].

The giants of the IT industry - AMD and Intel, who presented their processors with an individual set of competitive advantages have become the main competitors in this market. The main focus of the companies was the development of a universal compact processor that provides high performance of both the computing and video core.

Computers with hybrid processors have both positive and negative sides.

The main advantages of new hybrid crystals in comparison with computers using separately CPU and GPU are:

1. The compactness of the personal computer in which the hybrid processor is used is achieved by integrating the graphics core and the north bridge in a single crystal.

2. As a result of reducing the number of components, the number of possible causes of system failure is reduced.

3. The absence of a separate video card in systems with a hybrid processor, which requires an individual cooler, reduces the noise produced by the system.

4. Reduction of energy consumption and heat dissipation by the system.

However, these processors have a number of disadvantages:

1. The inability to upgrade the video processor system separately from the central one.

2. Less performance of a system with a hybrid processor compared to computers that use a separate compute and video core.

3. Integrated GPUs do not have their own memory, but they use shared memory.

Summarizing, it should be noted that the use of innovative hybrid processors is a huge step forward, which makes it possible to create compact, virtually noiseless systems with reduced power consumption. This feature at the moment is the most relevant, in view of the universal desire to compact laptops and personal computers.

According to the manufacturer of AMD processors - computers equipped with VISION technology are the best choice for virtual entertainment or spending time in games.

Thus, the main advantages of hybrid processors in comparison with conventional processors are excellent energy efficiency together with high visual performance. In a hybrid processor a discrete class graphics is on one chip along

with a multi-core CPU.

In addition, the main advantages of VISION technology are the increased resolution of the contrast and brightness of the image. Now it will not be necessary to wait for a long time while the buffer will perform its work. This is necessary in cases, for example, when watch streaming video on the Internet - its quality and speed of picture change will be very pleasant, without jerks and "slowdowns". Hybrid processors also provide fast work on the Internet in general - and if for loading one page the standard processor needs some time, then in this case the pages will load much faster. In addition, all versions of hybrid processors support USB 3.0 function, which means that the transfer of data, photos and video will be greatly increased. It is also worth noting that hybrid processors are suitable, as for the conditions of home computer use, and for working use in the office. The high performance of such processors ensures the performance of almost any task, that is why they are so practical.
