Abstract: the following article emphasizes the concept of vocabulary and its preserving methods. The beginning of the article deals with the quick information about foreign language and its significance in today's world. The rest shares the basic background about the effective ways of improving vocabulary in the memories of learners. Keywords: knowledge, develop, language, lexical resource, construction.

It is not a secret for anyone that knowledge of foreign languages not only opens up new perspectives, promises professional development, but also enriches the personality [1]. No wonder they say "Man as many times as a man, how many languages he knows". We in our turn, try to develop and cultivate in our students an understanding of the importance of learning a foreign language and the need to use it at least in some vital areas. A foreign language undoubtedly develops patriotic and civic qualities, respect and tolerance towards other cultures in students. Learning English can be compared to building a house. What are the components of the construction of the house?
1. material
2. the laws of architecture, physics
3. design
Language learning also consists of three components:
1. vocabulary
2. grammar
3. phonetics
What is important when building? Without which it is impossible to build a house? Of course, the material, be we the greatest architects, brilliant designers, but if we don't have a single brick, we can never build a house. And what is the main thing in language learning? Of course, the vocabulary. Without knowledge of words, knowledge of grammar and beautiful pronunciation will be absolutely useless [2].
How to help students obtain a large vocabulary? Simply cramming will not bring significant results, since learners are not interested, it means that we must find a variety of ways. One of the ways is to learn words with the help of cards in a game form. Card games do not just introduce students the English words, they develop memory, visual and auditory perception, and intelligence. Introduces students the construction of simple English sentences, develops horizons, improves articulation, and contributes to the formation of students' speech. Learn the words you need in context. Each word in the English language can have about two dozen of very different meanings, which often do not correlate with each other. That is why, when we memorize not a specific meaning of one word, but a phrase, we add this word to our active dictionary. Via using the word in the process of communication only 3 times, we memorize it. However, there is a danger: you can memorize a word in only one context and not recognize it in other situations. For example, the word set can be used in a variety of situations: We set an extra place for our guest. - We have organized additional space at the table for our guest.
We met on the set of Hamlet. "We met at the production of Hamlet. " All the cars have a set price. - All cars have a fixed price.
Read. If we want our students to increase their vocabulary - reading is one of the most effective ways. In the process of communication, you can memorize a few new words, but the vocabulary can be qualitatively expanded only through regular reading of literature of various genres. It is necessary to read every day at least 15 minutes - this is the key to success. If the text contains an unfamiliar word, you need to try to guess its meaning by context and only then reach for the dictionary. Use the parallel read method. The method of parallel translation is a way of learning English, in which the reader works with two texts at once: in English and Uzbek (native). This technique has its advantages and disadvantages. If you use it wisely, you can achieve great success in training reading in English and vocabulary.
Of course, you must consider your type of perception of information. Not all methods are equally good. No need to apply everything at once. Try text, video or audio formats and select those with which you will quickly learn new words. The main thing is do not forget to move from theory to practice, actively using words in everyday life, then you will not have to think about how to improve your level of knowledge. A sage once said: Learn another language, And you will be a man twice; And the third - you will be it three times.
V. Goethe said: The person who does not know foreign languages, apparently, he doesn't know anything about his mother tongue [3]. By the motivation of foreign language study, we at the same time teach to love and respect our native language.
