ABSTRACT
This article provides information about reptile specimens collected from South and East Uzbekistan between 1950 and 2007 in the herpetological collection of the Institute of Zoology of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan.
АННОТАЦИЯ
В статье представлены сведения об экземплярах рептилий, собранных на территории Южного и Восточного Узбекистана в период с 1950 по 2007 годы в герпетологической коллекции Института зоологии Академии наук Узбекистана.

Introduction. Unique researches dedicated to the study of the fauna of our republic belong to two great zoologists T.Z. Zakhidov and O.P. Bogdanovs. The book of T.Z. Zakhidov "Биоценозы пустыни Кызылкум" [1] mentions the meeting of 27 species of reptiles and 1 species of amphibians in the herpetofauna of Kyzylkum. The monographs of O.P. Bogdanov "Fauna Uzbekskoy SSR" (1960) [2] and "Экология пресмыкающихся Средней Азии" [3] gave information about 2 species of amphibians, 56 species of reptiles and their ecology and distribution biology in the territory of Uzbekistan. Also, in the encyclopedic reference of O.P. Bogdanov "Radkie jivotnye Uzbekistana" biological characteristics of 19 species of reptiles, distribution area and ecology are given [3].
Method and materials. As the main materials of our scientific research on the study of the history of the
reptile fauna of Uzbekistan were used the samples available in the fund of the unique "Herpetology" collection of the Institute of Zoology of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan [1; 2; 3; 4; 5].
Result. During our research, in order to clarify the level of study of the reptiles of South and East Uzbekistan, 19074 specimens from the fund of the unique "Herpetology" collection of the Institute of Zoology of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan were studied and from Kashkadarya, Tashkent region and Fergana valley. taken samples were separated. The number of samples was determined to be 142 individuals belonging to 21 species from Kashkadarya region (Table 1), 3345 individuals belonging to 25 species from Tashkent region and Fergana valley (Table 2). It can be seen that the obtained samples were mainly brought in 1950-2007.

Conclusion. As can be seen from the results, 3372 individuals belonging to a total of 30 species were identified from these regions. The researches was carried out mainly by Bogdanov O.P., Vashetko E.V.,
Nuridzhanov A., Chikin.Y.A., Rizayev.Sh.O., Mirosh-nikov A.B., Saruk O.I., Esipov A.B., Yadgarov T.Y., Mahmudov B., Bochkarev.S., Fatkulova Z., Kamalova Z., Mazitova A., Ishunin I.G. and the main sources were collected between 1950 and 2007.
