As a result, the use of modern information technologies in education and in all other areas is changing the face of modern education: new teaching methods and approaches are emerging that meet the requirements of the time: “e-learning”, “MOOC” (massive open online courses), “Lifelong learning”, adaptive learning, artificial intelligence methods in education and others [1], [2].

As a result, the use of modern information technologies in education and in all other areas is changing the face of modern education: new teaching methods and approaches are emerging that meet the requirements of the time: "e-learning", "MOOC" (massive open online courses), "Lifelong learning", adaptive learning, artificial intelligence methods in education and others [1], [2].

To learn new information, most students need more time or support from the teacher, depending on his or her existing knowledge and learning abilities. It is impossible to create a universal system or method that will suit everyone [3], [4]. The adaptive education system under consideration is designed to solve this problem.

Adaptive learning is a technology that analyzes the learner's performance, adapts the educational program, and the teaching method [5]. These technology systems use techniques such as machine learning and natural language processing to analyze a learner's abilities, track their progress, and provide adaptive feedback and recommendations [6].

Adaptive learning promotes the development of self-organization skills, analytical thinking and independent decision-making. Through active interaction with the material and constant analysis of his progress, the student can effectively use his strengths and overcome his weaknesses. These systems analyze student data, such as assessment scores and previous interactions, to generate personalized learning paths and recommend appropriate resources [7].

It's safe to say that AI can power adaptive learning platforms that tailor learning content to suit a learner's individual needs and preferences. AI-powered virtual assistants and chatbots can provide on-demand support to students by answering questions, helping with problem resolution, and offering personalized guidance. They can also simulate conversations and interactions to create more engaging learning content.

characteristics of each student. With the advent of powerful computers and innovations in the field of artificial intelligence, adaptive learning technologies and models have been fully developed and implemented [8].

In our opinion, adaptive learning helps achieve the following educational

goals:

1. Reducing the cost of educational expenses.

2. Formation of a personal training program.

3. Make the learning process simple and flexible.

4. Increasing the effectiveness of education.

5. High involvement in the educational process.

6. Predicting learning strategies based on big data analysis

7. Stop and start studying early

The creation of adaptive learning courses is associated with two directions: the model of the field of science (subject) and the student model. The first of them is a specific knowledge repository, which developers distribute according to the topic, establish logical connections between individual sections and determine the rules for moving to different levels. The student model is an individual way of learning for each student.

All this data is studied by artificial intelligence, analyzed and makes recommendations to new participants. This is the essence of adaptive learning.

In our opinion, to achieve effective results, adaptive learning should consist of the following stages:

1. Preliminary test (or assessment).

2. Development of an individual lesson plan based on test results.

3. Studying educational material and examples.

4. Consolidating new skills and abilities with the help of tests or exercises.

5. Support during training, constant communication with the teacher.

6. Conducting intermediate control.

7. Adjustment of the level of tasks and topics depending on the results.

The technologies used by adaptive learning platforms unfortunately do not

cover all subjects, often limiting themselves to areas of knowledge with clear rules, formulas and answers: for example, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) subjects and medicine.
