This article analyzes the important tasks facing the education system today, in particular, the spiritual education of students and the shortcomings and problems in this area, and also presents opinions on these issues.

INTRODUCTION

At the same time, the issue of spiritual and moral education of students at a high level is reflected in a number of legal documents adopted by the President on the reform of the education sector of our country as an integral part of his policy. Only on May 25, 2022, at the meeting dedicated to the discussion of the progress of reforms in school education held in the presence of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, when the work related to the field was analyzed according to 7 indicators, the data of 1526 general education schools It was noted that the spiritual environment is negative, and it was emphasized that it is necessary to re-analyze the spiritual and educational work in schools and implement systematic measures in this regard.2 In this matter, the head of our state has set a number of tasks for the employees of the sector, that the school should be the threshold of spirituality, that it is necessary to widely use the possibilities of reading, poetry, music, visual arts in the spiritual education of students. The importance of publishing spiritual books for students from 1st to 11th grade was shown.

Indeed, one of the important advantages of national education is the harmony of education. Therefore, the wide introduction of modern technologies that ensure the effectiveness of spiritual and educational propaganda in the education of students and young people, the development of effective methods aimed at strengthening the spirituality and ideological immunity of our society, It is necessary for us to deeply understand that the introduction of unique national methods is becoming our important task today. For children who have just entered school, the school should be a center of spirituality, and the teacher should be a symbol of spirituality. As the age of the student grows, his spiritual needs also increase. Understanding these needs and educating them in a comprehensive manner puts a great responsibility on us pedagogues.

Moreover, in today's complex and dangerous times, it is a vital need to educate our young people to be strong-willed and highly moral, educated and intellectually capable, patriotic people who can withstand various threats. At this point, it should be noted that the wide use of fairy tales, stories, legends, poems, songs, epics, and proverbs is of particular importance in raising the morale of primary classes. Here, the spiritual development of a person is also a continuous process, in which continuous education is an integrated system consisting of stages that are connected on the basis of mutual logical consistency and develop from simple to complex and require each other. it is necessary to emphasize the incomparable role and importance of the system.

Continuing education creates the necessary conditions for the formation of a creative, socially active, spiritually rich person and the training of highly qualified competitive personnel. The operation of the continuous education system is ensured on the basis of the state educational standards, on the basis of the consistency of educational programs at different levels, and includes preschool education, general secondary education, secondary special education, and vocational education. includes education, higher education, post-secondary education, professional development and retraining of personnel, extracurricular education. The state educational standards and state requirements set for this type of education system specify a number of tasks that provide for a person's spiritual growth, upbringing based on national and universal values, and growing up as a perfect person.

spiritual education: state and non-state educational institutions that implement educational programs in accordance with state educational standards" in chapter 3 entitled "Implementation in the continuous education system"; scientific-pedagogical institutions that carry out scientific-research works in the field of education; it will be introduced through state administration bodies, public organizations, neighborhood and family institutions," it was noted. Also, the Concept of continuous spiritual education is specifically defined to include the following stages:3

the first stage - in families (on the basis of two periods: the first period - the fetal period, the second period - the period from the birth of the child to the age of 3); the second stage - preschool education up to the age of 3 - 6 (7); the third stage — in the general secondary education system (on the basis of two periods: the first period — 7 (6) — 10-year-old primary class, the second period — 11 — 17-year-old middle and upper classes);

the fourth stage — young people who are active in production and are not employed, as well as in the system of secondary specialized vocational and higher educational institutions (on the basis of two periods: the first period — secondary specialized vocational and young people who are not covered by higher education, as well as those who are active in production and are not employed - 17-30 years old, the second period - students of secondary specialized professions, higher education institutions 15 — 22 (24) years old)4. It can be seen from these that in all types of continuous education system, a number of tasks and measures have been defined with the aim of developing the spiritual world of a person on the basis of continuity and coherence.

Also, based on the principle of systematicity, unity of thought, word and action, the principle of personal example, the educational process is conceptually based, in the scope of a comprehensive system and specific measures, in all stages and directions, covering all areas of social life. it is possible to achieve the intended result only if received (5).

In conclusion, it can be noted that today, one of the important tasks before the representatives of the field, at a time when globalization and information exchange are accelerating, is to protect students from various information attacks, destructive foreign ideas, through the development of media literacy and media culture in the spirit of love for the motherland. is education. It is important to grow mature and mature in all aspects. In order to raise the morale of young people, regular educational activities against threats such as religious extremism, terrorism, missionary work, "mass culture", which have negative effects, and national customs, traditions and values are carried out. organizing roundtable discussions and meetings aimed at comprehensively revealing the role and importance of education in our lives, instilling in the minds of young people the feelings and concepts related to parents, family and neighborhood, historical memory, national pride, and the education of a perfect human being we must absorb.

The problems of young people, their life goals, needs and interests should be specially studied in cooperation with theoretical scientists and experienced practicing pedagogues. Based on the established "diagnoses", i.e., conclusions, educational work is carried out both in terms of organization and management, and content-essentially, conflicting relations between parents and children, teachers and students. cases should be studied pedagogically and psychologically.

In short, in order to educate the children of today's globalized era to become well-rounded people, we need to be able to give them worldly, religious, political-legal, spiritual-ethical, physical, spiritual, and medical knowledge. For this, first of all, we need to have such a potential. After all, in the words of our wise people, "an educator must first be educated himself." Only then can the school truly be a place of spirituality, and the teacher an example of spirituality.
