Abstract: the article discusses properties of traditional and electronic advertising in tourism. Today, the relevance of advertising is not in doubt, as it plays a key role in the development of a market economy and is its important element. Keywords: traditional advertising, electronic advertising, tourism.

The Internet is any other offline environment, such as radio, television, the press, and the target audience for communications. Currently, all ads can be divided into two types: online and offline.

Traditional advertising is advertising outside the Internet: billboards on the streets, advertisements in newspapers and magazines, TV advertisements, radio advertisements, etc. Electronic advertising is advertising on the Internet.

The purpose of Internet advertising is to create consumer demand by providing information to consumers in a highly competitive market. Since there is no real ideal market, both consumers and producers, sellers and buyers, always need information. By providing such information, you can increase the demand for this or that product or service.

The uniqueness of the Internet is its interactivity. Therefore, Internet advertising is also based on the principle of interactivity. As a result of communication with the consumer, the company reduces many other costs when its needs, requirements and many other necessary information are obtained for the company.

In e-business, advertising notices are a commodity in themselves, and can be paid for by reading or viewing the message. A banner ad is a banner view that appears in one or more small windows on the screen before the main site is loaded. These windows can be written after the main site is opened. Email advertising is targeted at a specific audience or segment by placing information in newsletters, parcels, and discussion lists.

Competitive conditions and success in business depend on the maximum concentration of customer needs, which leads to the individualization of goods and services currently offered to customers. In this case, the Internet is a very effective tool to identify the needs of customers, to establish bilateral relations with them and to sell them the goods and services they need.

In e-business, all types of marketing communications are open and there are many unique tools for their implementation. The most common type of communication is Internet advertising. Online or Internet advertising refers to the process of forming a potential customer or retaining evidence by disseminating information about the product, its terms and conditions of purchase to the target audience.

The undoubted advantage of Internet advertising is its low cost and simplicity of initial requirements and conditions. In order to have the practical ability to advertise on the network, you only need to meet two conditions: to have a level of education that allows you to do simple things with a computer, and to be able to pay for the Internet.

One of the unique features of Internet advertising is that it is cheaper in terms of time and space than traditional advertising. The more airtime there is in a traditional business and the wider the scope, the more expensive the advertising price. In e-business, the opposite is true. Once spent, the ad is placed on the site, the parameters do not work in terms of time and region.

Requirements for advertising in the Internet business are:

1. Internet advertising should ensure the attractiveness of the company's products and services. The content and design or decoration of the website play a very important role in this.

2. The advertising notice should be clearly targeted to a specific audience or segment and in turn should be of great importance in decision-making for that layer.

3. The content of the advertising notice must be of value to the consumer, that is, the advertisement must contain information that is of interest to the consumer.

4. Advertising sites should be easy to understand. Heavy-duty sites that have too many beautiful but too many unnecessary data fouls will not produce positive results.

5. Advertising should strengthen the brand and image of the company or enterprise.

6. Advertising should become an integral part of the marketing strategy of the enterprise.
