Physical culture is an integral part of culture, a field of social activity, which is a combination of spiritual and material values created and used by society for the purpose of physical development of a person, strengthening his health and improving his physical activity.
Sport is an integral part of physical culture, which has developed in the form of competitive activity and a special practice of preparing a person for a competition.
Amateur sports is a multifaceted sports movement as an organic part of the system of physical education of citizens and the identification of promising and talented athletes in various sports.
Professional sport is an entrepreneurial activity whose goal is to satisfy the interests of professional sports organizations, athletes who choose sport as their profession, and spectators. Physical culture and sports are the area that largely
ensures the physical and moral health of the population, supports the efficiency and competitiveness of people in the labor market, affects the reproduction of the population. In addition, sport is seen as an effective tool of political life. Holding major sporting events (Olympic Games, World and European Championships, commercial tournaments) contributes to the development of industrial and social infrastructure (construction of roads, hotels, sports facilities, development of communications, the creation of additional jobs).The main services in sports are: in a professional sport - a sporting event (spectacle), and in a health sport - sports and recreational services.
The general management of physical culture and sports is carried out by the Federal Agency for Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism. Physical culture and sports are an important tool for maintaining and restoring the health of the population, contribute to improving the quality of the human resources of the national economy. Physical culture and sports can be considered as the most important social factors contributing to the improvement of the population, increasing labor productivity, and also as an effective means of combating antisocial behavior (smoking, drugs, alcohol, etc.).The basis of social policy in the field of physical culture and sports is the creation of the necessary conditions so that each person can satisfy their interests and needs in physical education and sports.
